Conversation Thread

I have wanted to sulk today that I miss my puppy and can't wait to see him when I get home but looking around I can't find anywhere suitable to post this.

I know we have an "Off Topic" section for general chat that may or may not be related to dogs but how do people feel about having some kind of "conversation" thread that is constantly open for general discussion about everything and anything.

Some forums call this a "spam" thread. It is useful if someone has something to say but does not feel it deserve a whole thread dedicated to the topic or for people to generally chat and get to know each other.

I realise there is a chat room, but this is only useful if everyone is online at the same time. With a "spam" or "conversation" thread you don't need to all be online at the same time.
