Hi everyone, my name is Yani. I'm new to this forum. I need a little bit of help, maybe some of you have came across having to d-worm your puppy's and have used the product that I'm using. I'm using the D_Worm from Farnam that brings 10 tablets and it only for tapeworms. The directions don't say how many times I have to give it to my pup it just says give 1 tablet if 10 lbs. I'm confused I don't know if I'm supposed to give it everyday for 10 days or once a month?!?! Please Help!!!!

Hey everyone... I called the D-Worm manufacter and they told me that I'm only supposed to give them one dose and in 24 hours its supposed to make the worms die or go away. Thanks though!:p :applaud:

Yani, typically puppies have round worms, not tapeworms. You should take your pup to the vet with a fecal sample to find out the appropriate deworming medication (if any is needed). I personally try to avoid giving my pets uneccessary medication because of various readings... for this one, the medication IS toxic, just, hopefully at low enough doses to not harm your pets.

And, Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the replies, I know they were tapeworms because I read up on them and knew right away that that's what he had. I gave him the tapeworm medicine and in 24 hours they were gone just like the manufacters for the D-Worm medicine said.

Oh I forgot to add on my reply that he had fleas when I first got him and tapeworms are caused when the puppy ingests fleas since it carries the parasite. I treated him for the fleas first and they were gone in a matter of a week or less then I treated him for the tapeworms which the instructions say to do that!! Just thought I should let you know!! :D
