Sam has a furever home

I thought id post a bit of happy news here. Sam is notr in need of rescue. I rescued him 8/27 he was dumped at the pound because his owners did not want to pay to treat his mange. The shelter was hestitant to adopt him out stating that he was " dog aggressive" Well I chose to rescue him anyway and I am happy to say his mange is cleared up, he is in perfect health and showwed no aggression toward other animals at all, I think his acting out in the shelter was more fear than aggression. Coarse if you were a 17 lbs peke mix and had a rottie on one side of you and siberian husky on the other I think you'd be frightened too. In any event happily Sam found his furever home yesterday. Just thought Id share a small victory.

Congratulations! Well done! So glad he's got a happy home.

Dog aggressive? Is that pup as young as he looks? People throw the word aggressive around way, way too much.

Awww - thanks for posting and good luck with Sam. You are completely right, shelters are often a poor environment in which to assess temperament and behaviour. Many dogs find the atmosphere very stressful, which in turn causes them to react in non-typical ways. Sam is very lucky to have found you :)
