She's growing so fast. She looks great. Well done, Beauty!

Retriever Crazy, I think that body weight is quite normal for her breed.

Her and Vanna got a little fat actually. But Beauty has still been eating well, but I have cut some fat out of Vanna food, and I bike her everyday now because she put on some weight =(
It was not good, and she was fat for the show too. I'm glad so only coursed a little bit...

It's always wonderful to see dogs doing something similar to what they were bred for. Lure coursing is a great sport for you to get involved with. The dogs look like they are having fun!!

And she looks like a Natural. At first I thought Oh Geessss she is skinny, but she could not do what she is bred to do with running leaps n bounds with fat on. She is gorgeous and love those shots.

Oh that's so cool! =D
Yeah, so Beauty is going to have a field career, and Vanna in the show ring. She didn't take to coursing. Which is ok, she is naturally a shy whippet...

Aww they are so beautiful, do they like doing that running sport?

I think they look too skinny, look at their rib cages.

Beauty loves coursing but Vanna didn't take to it. And acutally Beauty has put on a lot of weight. I'd like her thinner than that for coursing. But she is growing fast and will grow into the weight. But yeah. It's NOT good to have a sight hound even the tiniest bit overweight. And for coursing especially. She can have substance, but I'd rather she has less substance and more muscle.
She eats A LOT. which I don't cut down on because shes a puppy. But when shes full grown I don't want her ever coursing again at that weight. You can see it easier when you see her in person... She's got fragile bones and it's bad enough they are carrying a bit more weight than they should, but while full out running? X.O
So, yeah. She's actually not skinny at all. And for coursing I'm going to shape her diet for better health and enjoyment in the sport. =]

Have to agree with you re sighhounds and their weight and their fragile bones. I don't think she is skinny either, especially for coursing.
Don't like to see any breed overweight as it can cause health problems.

Good post.
