Help - chewing gum!

i decided to give simba a bath today as the weather was really hot, on rubbing the shampoo in i found chewing gum stuck to his belly!! and its stuck bad!! how can i take it off??

If it is stuck to the fur I would just cut the fur.

if it isnt to close to the skin then cut it off ur self oe just pop it to a groomers and they will pop the dog on the table and just shave that bit of safly we have done this for a few ppl xxx

his furr is very short where the gum is stuck, it wont be able to be cutt off, i think it will end up being a bald patch!

If he will lie still, you could try using moisturizer on it and then trying to pick it (gently!!) off.
That has always worked with mine...not that I've done it often but with 3 kids I suppose it's inevitable at some point!
Also rubbing an ice cube over it can harden it enough to pull it off.

Maybe try Ice.. to harden it or what not, I know i use that with the carpet As I use to be preschool teacher.. and kids would get gum,and spit it on the floor.. *Not all preschool age* LOL I dunno what else

Supposedly vinegar or egg white can be used to remove chewing gum from carpeting. They seem safe enough to try on a dog's skin.

You can try mayo. The oils in it break up the gum. I use mayo when my daughter gets it in her hair and it works pretty good.

I have heard talc can get it off lots of it if not ice cubes

Goo Gone... works GREAT!!!

That would suck waking up to chewing gum in your hair any day never mind your wedding day ! Must have been a good sign. :D:D
