She isn't really a rescue but she's looking for a new home. I have a Siberian Husky named Libby. She is 3 years old and is getting spayed this November. She wasn't spayed earlier because we were going to show her but she never matured in her chest area. She is looking for a home where she can be an only dog or with other males. She may do okay with other females if they are laid back and spayed. She is trained for basic obedience and has been doing Agility for 2 years. She could be trained off-leash if worked with enough but only if the course is secure because Siberians love to run. She is Black and white with two blue eyes. I haven't tested her for Eyes or Hips because she was never going to be bred. I have a few pictures here of her. She's a really fun girl. We are located in Western Wisconsin.

She would also make a good 4-H dog for a child over 10. She has been my 4-H dog for the past 3 years. Really great showmanship dog. I finished 2nd in my class of 22 with her at the state dogs show. She seems to enjoy showing.

Sounds like a great dog. Why is she being rehomed?

She does sound like a great dog & I'm sure she'll make somebody a very happy owner. I'm assuming from your post she's had some "issues" with other females. I hope she finds a great home.

Yes, she tends to be dominant. I think that she may settle down once we get her spayed though. She has jealousy issues right now. I am getting into the world of sleddog racing and am getting a female dog this winter as a leader trainer and I will be spending a lot of time working with her. I don't believe it's fair to have too many dogs because then they don't seem to ave much personal time. But if they go to a home where they get more attention, they will often be happier and more content.

Sounds like a beautiful girl... And somewhat resembles my Mocha. Arrgghh.. I wish I lived closer, but like you suggested, and I should take your word for, a home without girl dogs is not really my home.

She is gorgeous. I would take her if I wasn't so far away. :( Good luck in finding her a new home.
