RAW not working out.

Well, Doberman's.... it didn't work too well. Kodie and Faith both gained a lot of weight on the recommended feedings. Faith threw up more. And Kodie got itchy. I don't know if it was just the prepackaged part, but until we get a freezer and can make it ourselves... we are going to have to stick to dog food. I really wanted to do RAW, but that's the only affordable prepackaged around and even that is financially pushing it. On top of that, it's next to impossible to get. The store is always out.

I knew our freezer situation was going to make us hold out. We are going to try and get one by Christmas time. His mom said if she can find one, she'll give us that as a Christmas gift. So, until then.... we are stuck with dry. It's not like we aren't giving a high quality dry food that meets both Kodie's needs and Faithey's. It's just that RAW is so much better. :(

I am sorry it is not working out for you. I do not know anything about what kind of pre pack you are feeding but I do not feed the pre pack anymore. I was when I first started but I find that I can get meat from the processor for less money.

The rules of feeding raw are not set in stone, if your dog is gaining weight you cut back and if they are loosing then you feed more.

No worries, just do what you can until you can go back. Don't feel bad, stuff happens.
