I'm interested in hearing what other dog owners think of 'California Natural' dry kibble? It is made by Natura Pet Products, who are also the makers of Innova. http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=home-tab
I used to feed my dog Innova Evo. He was good on it for a while, but started having too much soft or liquidy feces. I have been feeding him 'California Natural - Chicken Meal & Rice Formula' for about eight months. He appears healthy, has a nice coat, and doesn't smell.
It's supposed to be a high quality kibble and they claim there's no wheat, corn, soy, or artificial preservatives. I have not come across many people who use this dog food, but I suspect it's mostly popular on the west coast. I pay $50 CDN for a 36 lb bag.
These are the ingredients:
Chicken Meal, Ground Brown Rice, Ground White Rice, Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavors, Taurine, Flaxseed, Vitamins/Minerals
Nutrition Info:
Moisture = 10%
Protien = 21%
Fat = 11%
Fiber = 4%
Calories = 511 KCal per cup
I have also began feeding my dog cooked chicken left-overs as an extra treat. He loves it! I think it's good for a dog to get some real meat every once in a while.
Thanks
