Ok i know you've seen it all before. But i would really like to know.
He's a really good puppy so far (i've had him for 2 months) and he is like 11 or 12 months old. He weights 21 lbs and the vet says he won't get much bigger.

The adoption paper work all says Boston terrier mix, but i don't know about that. People ask me all the time, and i don't really know.

I would like to hear what some of your opinions are.

Thanks in advance..

I am going waayyy out on a limb here. I see spots on the legs, so I think "Border Collie" I see the side view, and I think "Jack.. russel?" Hmm.. But I also see others too. I am saying you have a very eye-pleasing mix! Hehe.

I can only see the markings for the Boston Terrier but thats it....that fifth claw on the rear legs is throwing me off .....Bostons have smooshed in faces as yours doesn't.....sweet looking dog tho :)

I do see the Boston Terrier in him ... what his other cross is is anybody's guess. He's adorable. Love those eyes.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Great to have you & your good looking dog with us.

I'd say Jack Russell Terrier mix (or, Parson Russell Terrier which is the new name for the breed).

I see Border Collie in him, but unsure what he's crossed with. He's very cute :)

I had Boston Terriers and raised a couple litters years ago. Mine were smaller, this dog has only the colors, not the face, ears, or body of one. It looks like maybe some Am Bulldog and some kind of Terrier, but with a mix that is the fun of guessing. He is a very nice dog, pretty clean colors, ears I would not make a bet they are going to stand. If somebody asks you just say he is mixed and we love him.

I see Juck Russel/Parson's and it is hard to tell how large he is there but there could be some Rat Terrier.

Thanks for all your replies.. And yes we do love him, no matter what..
He's a very good behaving and looking dog (if i do say so myself)..
That's almost moreover why i would like to know. I have heard the AM bulldog before, and the Jack.
I measured him and he is 15in's to the shoulder's and about 17in long, pretty small guy and right around 21 lbs. So bigger than the Jack's or Boston's i seen .
He is my first dog and doing awesome with my 2 kids 4-9 year olds. So i'm super happy with him. He eats like a horse though. I have been feeding him about 1/2 a cup twice a day, and he has it gone in a matter of minutes. So i was wondering if i should up it alittle bit. Also i gave him a few rawhide chews and i think they upset his tummy, are they no good?? He wants to chew on something for sure. He like his Nylabone deal too though...

Thanks again

I'm not seeing the Boston because of the face and the build. Looks to me more like a JRT or Rat Terrier. Both of those have pretty broad standards as far as appearance goes so it could be purebred or a mix.

For some reason I was thinking whippet/ boston terrier mix.

I think either Border Collie or Boston (maybe both?) mixed with Rat Terrier. There are some abnormally large Rat Terriers as well as bostons.

There's actually a company in California that my vet was telling me about. If you send them a DNA sample they can tell you exactly what type of mix your dog is. The cost is around $100 but it sounds interesting :)
If you're interested, ask your vet about it. ;)

I would have said eithr staff or pitbull x jrt as the front legs are bowed a trait for both of the first breeds. Either way gorgeous !!!

skunkstripe did that and hasn't gotten any closer to figuring out what breed Zircon is. ;) It did rule out a few breeds though, and I think they will be adding more breeds to the list later on and I think she said it's free to redo it. I would search her threads for the actual threads.

Yeah, i've heard of those DNA tests. I was thinking maybe. I'm not sure i need to know that bad anyway. And some of the tests don't sound super great either.

We will have too see..

Thanks

I think this post got moved.

Yeah, i've heard that Am staff/jrt thing too..

It's funny when i take him for a walk people always ask what he is. The other day i overheard a few people saying "i think maybe Boston terrier" then a little later a guy with 2 big American Bulldogs says "they might be related"

So it futhers my interest, just to be able to say no he's Great dane/St.Bernard. And know it's close..
