howdy everyone, this forum is really hard to use... so got as far as general disscussion before i posted my question :p
my girlfriend works for PDSA, and has adopted a 5 week old puppy abandoned at her work.
her names Bracken, she doesnt bark at all, and we have no idea what breed she is!!!
someone suggested a lurcher/staff cross, could anyone confirm this?
thanking y'all :)

Welcome! :)
It is difficult to tell what breed a dog is when they are still puppies. She is gorgeous though! :D Kudos to your girlfriend for adopting her!

Hi nightcrawler13 and welcome to the forum.
It is really hard to identify a breed when they are still young puppies like that. Maybe if you give us the age and weight we might be able to take a guess?

Welcome to the Dog Forum. Hope you enjoy as we have alot of good information to offer. But, being a small young puppy, does not look very old, it is most difficult to know. Of course we can guess, most likely that is all we can do regardless of age, but better older to see if ears go up errect, coat, etc. It is some sort of terrier. Hope you both enjoy the puppy it is sooo cute. It will learn to bark, trust me. Be happy it does not. It is a good puppy then?:D

thanx for the warm welcome :)
the puppy is 5 weeks old, weighs 4-5 pounds at a guess...
i've been told a cairn terrier/staff/lurcher cross, by someone who knows a bit about dogs. i know NOTHING about dogs (apart from kerry blue terriers, i had one, it was lovely :D )
so an agreement or disagreement would be very much appreciated :)

I immediately saw Lurcher (I've had 3 in the past), but those ears are terrier ears... She is so beautiful though :)
