What a morning...
we went to look at another house, we arrive with Tasha and everything. We meet the girl owning the house and her little maltese. A cute and very well behaved little dog. When we are about to leave this black and white pit is showing up. Skin and bones and she is slowly stealthing closer to us.. Really dirty and all..
I move towards her and she moves away, but when I squat down on the grouns she runs and attacks my whole face with kisses.. (I know, horrible topic :p)
However, she has scabs and scars, she is very submissive to Tasha but Loves Tasha a lot. We took her in on the new place and gave her a well needed bath, then she got a purple harness and lead (looks so good on her) and she just adores Tasha. She is very coherent and easily formed. She listens good already, cant be too old tops 1,5 years prolly younger.. she looks like she hasnt had her first heat yet.
she was scared of the car first but I took her in my arms and after a moment she ride the car like she never did aything else. behaved perfectly in at petco when trying on the harness and now she has had her first meal (i only gave her a little bit cause I think her tummy has been very empty for a while). she kinda harass Tasha with LOVE, she does everything Tasha does and follows her like a shadow. Tasha says, you are pretty ok for a pit but.. I dont trust you yet.. but she is already getting away with more than Tasha usually let a hyper pit baby get away with. She tries to kiss Tasha mussle all the time and if Tasha growls she backs of for about 1,5 seconds :p
So.. if no owner shows up I guess Im gonna call the rottie kennel and tell them that Ill wait another couple of years..
Cause this pit she choose us litterly.. when I was sitting on the ground she nussled up in my arms and laid down and now she wont leave my side. Not even when I take off the leash (we were just out walking) and now both dogs are passed out by my feet..
So yeah it was kinda a pitbull attack but in a good way.. just the way I know the pits are..
BUT, she is going in for spaying, shots and medical check.. it's just gonna have to wait a week or so. Im gonna call the aspca cause I think they have free spaying for people here in Richmond and right now with double rent, tashas surgery and divorce and could have use of that.. I can always give them a bigger donation later.. so I am certinaly gonna look into that, cause she is SO sweet tempered and I want her to stay that way.. No thank you hormones..

pics will be up tomorrow.. she is so hyper that I have to watch her not to bug Tasha too much.. Im trying to give them a soft start so they dont get off on the wrong paw. so I havent had time to bring out the camera.
Her name is: Miss Pricc Missy for short...
Hopefully that will make people relax when they hear it, it's cute and goofy and not really what you expect on a pit.. *lol*
Glad I could make you smile ;)

Awww what a great story. Don't forget to have her checked for a microchip. Since she's so well behaved, and frightened it's possible she's just been lost for awhile and needs help getting back home.
Either way; she's a lucky dog that you were in the right place at the right time.
AWWWW! Munkie, that is a great story!

yeah, we are going to the vet now to get flea medication and look for a chip..
Ive checked the lost and found online, NOTHING, and Ive contacted local rescue groups, nothing..
the thing is.. she is not well behaving cause of training, cause she obviously hasnt had any, but she's just very submissive and affectionate (typical pitbull towards humans) but sit, stay, socialisation.. there she is lacking A LOT..
but... the scaring show on something else than being on the road a long time though.. but Ill know more after the vet..
I so hope she dont have an owner.. or that she had a gone one that got her stolen or something.. but then I figured there should be posts up and adds out etc..
here are some photos:

Oh God.. The vet fell in love too..
This was a trip.. Ive owned the dog since 11 am :p and she has now racked up bills to all together 110 dollars..
Leash and harness, then the trip to the vet..
she has FLEAS (yeck) and a urinary infection (The vet took the test for free for me though due to lack of money and not getting more til tomorrow).
So we have antibiotics for that now and Ill start turning her out every 30 minutes to prevent peeing and she is between 8-10 month old, we guess mor eon 8 cause she is so puppyish..
Now... WHO belives it's cheap to rescue?! *LOL*
But I love her, and she is SO sweet, and adorable..
she did growl an dlunge at other dogs in the vets office BUT they started it.. and as soon as I got a treat out she calmed down so she will be fairly easy to train..
AND.....
NO MICROSHIP!!!!! The vet said that Im very not likely to find an owner due to the state of the dog with the scabs, fleas, wouns and skinnie ness.
and even if someone claimed it, she felt I should keep it due to the state it's in.. *LOL* she is willing to testify if something comes up..
YAY!!!!!!
Hopefully Miss Priss is here to stay..

Monkey you just have one great big soft spot in a warm heart for those pitties, don't you? Looks like you just might have yourself another doggy! :D

Thanks Orca.. :) I hope she has.... and rescue a pit.. ENJOY.. they drive you crazy meanwhile.. *lol*
Skunk, a soft spot for pitbulls??? I have NO clue what you are talking about.. NONE at all..... *whistles* ;)
and as long as she is as mild to Tasha as she is now and no owner shows up and no aggression Yeah Ill keep her...
I am not sure what's in her past yet.. that will take a time for the dog to settle and become HER after things she's been through so..
but I aim on keeping her..

LOL, you have to be really careful with Pit Bull attacks! Your dog food bill could double.:p Congratulations to you on being the chosen one. Lucky, lucky dog!

Katz yeah.. and not only the food bill.. *looks down in an echoing wallet*
More than that can increase Im afraid... *sighs*
I'm totally mentally exhausted by today, and so it the baby pitt. She jumped up on the bed and is passed out.. poor gal..
and Jan, yepp they are really sweet.. so Ill be sticking to them now..
OH and the surgery that was gonna cost Tasha 2300 in NY, cost around 600 here... YAY!

You are too cute...
we havent checked the worm yet.. due to move, double rent, divorce Im LOW on money like crazy... so I only covered the two most important things, the fleas and the blatter infection..
ASPCA do free spay, worming etc down here if you earn less than a certain ammount a year wich I do so she will be going there in a week or so and ave everything done.
but god she has prolly been a stray for quite some time..
