Ok... This dog I got for all my sins...

yeah she does behave perfectly in many situations or more or less she behaves like a typical pit.. VERY adaptable..

She doesnt bark at people coming/going/moving around in the house wich I appreciate at lot (we now live 7 people 3 dogs 3 cats a bird and a rat in the same house). HOWEVER, she is chasing/barking crazy after the cats..

To be able to work I have her tied to my chair that I sit on and then I put headphones on and let her bark away.. she gives up after 20 min and fall asleep for a while.. so overall she is getting better AND is learning that she wont get hold of the cats anyhow.

Outside on leash she behaves very good... I can even have her off leash some, she follows Tasha as a shadow. She does not watch her food against Tasha, and she is very playfull. She is ducking a bit for humans at times but not much at all. she shows that she is not too used to stairs etc, it takes a bit of coaxing.

She has had human contact but Im not sure how much..

she's obediant (when no cats/birds/rats) is around, but that is her nature. She has a big will to please cause she LOVES praise but noone has thought her anything she knows nothing. She is a true sweetheart just like a normal pit, she kisses you as if there is no tomorrow.

It is obvious that she has starved a lot, she is ALWAYS food hunting and somewhat stressy tummy but it starts to go away. However I think she might turn out to be a good tracking dog.

She is a food stealer (right out of your hand if she can), counter surfer etc.. I know for a fact that we will not be able to leave anything out of that sort.. it will be GONE....

but she is sweet tempered and are trying and that is a good start..

Time for bed..!!

It sounds to me like she just needs direction and would be a particularly good candidate for the NILIF approach (aren't all dogs?). Good luck with her. The fun starts now! Once you've identified the problem areas, now comes the good part.

Terriers can be idiots in a waymans terms. I had Airdales that hunted and ran loose as not many homes were built and mostly woods all around us. Had Bostons, talk about bark, energy. WOW. So, prepare yourself as they do require alot of running or they bark at the moon. Hang in there, but the more you tie her the worse she will bark. If your cats have claws they shoulde be able to hide and claw her. My dogs would kill a cat or bunny, prey drive is high in them and have killed cats that drift in and I cannot punish them. Good luck and keep trying, she is young, hungry and wants to run and play:D

Years back I bought a nice Rotty male, neutered him to keep him home. He loved to hunt skunks, groundhogs and bring them home. He even went door to door and brought back party decos, tennis shoes, anything he could steal and bring here, then I had to go around and return all the items, we just laughed and so did all the rest. He jumped our fence and went on an hour run someplace, so neutering did not stop that, he just out grew it.:D
