I saw that story on my networks but the way I took the story is ....she is finding loving homes for these dogs. What is wrong with that?

Lovingpaws was that the same as this one?
Kerri Randles told Page Six that she gave DeGeneres a male mutt named Stormy two years ago, only to find out less than two months later that Ellen had given him to a member of her staff.
"She may have had it for much less time than that. I only say two months because that's when I called to check on the dog and found out she no longer had it," Randles said. "I was totally shocked. I thought she was out of her mind."

Oh I know Ellen is a big animal lover, and supporter, it's just that as the story put in "she's a revolving door". I just think that her cats may not get along with dogs possibly. If she's placing animals ok, but if she's rehoming she should check with original person. If I had to give up my dog (God help me) I wouldn't like Ellen to go on and place her into another home, that I myself would want to check out. That's what I'm saying. She needs to learn to be more sensative in that way (except the current situation, I think the rescue was/is to stubborn in their rules.

My question is why did the actress give away the dog in the first place? She must not have gotten it from a reputable breeder or a rescue or something like that since they ALL require they be returned to them if they can't be kept for any reason. My thinking is on this one that Ellen probably did just tell her that she would take the dog as a foster and not as a permanent pet for her and this is just some more bad press for her that is not being looked into. The press is never going to give you the full story especially in light of what just happened with her they are going to dig and find anything negative they possibly can. I could be wrong but without the whole story I can't really form an educated opinion. Ellen has got a long road ahead of her to recovery from this incident and as I said before the press is going to nit pick everything that she has done or will do in the future for a while.

Good point, the clip was short, (& my memory shorter) I don't know if it was hers or she was placing dogs.
Maybe I need more info & to think on this one too.

"In a situation like this, a pet could end up homeless while this type of dispute plays out on television," says MADELINE BERNSTEIN, President of the L.A. chapter of the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), in a statement released today. She continues, "Ellen gets people to watch the show for two days and talk about her. The rescue group is standing on principle and they have the right to, but you can see how you could still end up with two children crying and a dog with no home. I would have hoped there would have been a way to resolve this so that everyone was happy. The only winners in the end are the TV ratings.
Meanwhile, ED SAYRES, President & CEO of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), says: "Ms. DeGeneres' love and concern for animals has become practically iconic. As such, we have the utmost respect for her actions in trying to provide loving homes for animals in need -- she sets a great example for not just other celebrities, but the entire American public.
My feelings exactly....^^^^ but as always this is just my opinion
