Has anyone heard of the Cavoodle? (Cavaliar x poodle)
They are supposed to be lovely Dogs. My friend has a female one and last time i saw her she was very active, (Shes still under a year old.)
Well they are a relatively new breed so i dont think many people have heard of them.:)

there are many mixed breeds now being offered as designer dogs. the truth is that they are just a mutt with a price tag. check with your local animal shelter they have many different crosses and you might find the designer dog of your dreams :)

Agree, they are not a breed they are mongrels , whose breeders charge very high sums of money. And the fact is people PAY it why?????:D

Yup, a Cavoodle is not a breed. It's a mixed breed - a mutt. Don't be fooled. >^_~<

I don't liike all these Oodle dogs, they are nothing more then a fad which will die out and then these dogs will end up in shelters and being PTS . It is not fair to them and a terrible waste. Not just that, you never know what you will get temperment wise.
Reputable breeders will make sure what they breed is quality, they do it to improve the breed where as the so called designer dog breeders are BYB's with not morals on the issue other then selfish ones, such as making money.
OK off the soapbox now. :)

Its not a new "breed" It is a fancy name for a mutt. Dont pay big bucks for one. Im sure you can find one at a shelter.

Heck, if they can call poodle/cavie mutts a special name, I could call my pound dog a "Border Lab" or... a "Labradollie". Then I could sell her puppies for a million bucks apiece without health tests or anything! It'll be barrels of fun.

Agree Dobe, it is just a stupid fad and how long before they are in the rescue centres?
3 goldens

This has come up on every single board I belong too--golden retriever boards and all breed boards like this one. We have two full goldens and a golden mix we adopted 3 years last Dec. Noone knows what her other part is, but due to very large eyes, long slender legs, slender muzzle, speed, our vet believed some sight hound, such as greyhound, whippet, or possibily sulaki. Others think because of her speed and agility and white on her paws and a white stripe from the top of her head to the end of her muzzle, maybe something like border collie. So she could be a "Gollie", a goldgrey, a goluki and my favorite, a goldenpet. Whatever she is, we only paid $45 to adopt her and it appears she is worth hundres, mayby thousands :) (Many take her for full golden, but she isn't.
The pounds are full of these mixed dogs and it seems a shame breeders are creating more and selling them for $$$$$$$$$when they can be bought for just a few dollars at the pound. And they are mutt, just as our Honey is actually a mutt. No way around it.

y do we need to see a pic? of course they're gunna be cute, all puppies are cute, but they are simply a crossbreed, they are gunna vary soooo much, u dont know wot ur getting, these fads always result in 1000s of dogs being pts. do u not understand that it is essentially unethical to breed dogs without improving the breed when so many dogs are pts each day?

Hello and welcome to the forum. What a shame people saw the chance to jump on the same old band wagon of cross breeds before they thought to say hi.
I don't know much about this breed, but I will look them up. All puppies are cute, and they grow into beautiful dogs in their owners eyes.

Not getting at you personally , but What a shame people did not read the date of the opening post and realise it is an old post. So a bit late to be posting a welcome
In fact the first two people who replied are long gone from this forum and also Dobermanns is no longer here either.

Again, there seems to be sudden renewed interest in the poodle mixes. :) Surely if there is that much interest a fresh thread is in order, whether on the "Cavoodle" or any other Oodle. Thanks to all for your contributions.
