So this is purely my fault...but between feeding Tikaani AND the four puppies the food ran low VERY quickly and I didn't even notice it until last night...but it was also our last bag of Iams puppy and we wanted to get switched over to canidae. So AJ went out and bought a 40 lb bag of it last night since we literally only had maybe a day's worth of food left.

Since we have none of the Iams left and that's what they had been eating and we're switching over to the Canidae today, besides soft/runny stools...is there anything else I should keep an eye on w/ changing foods like this?

I've done much the same many times Lynn, (LOL not by choice, and I'm glad you posted this, it's reminded me to pick up some food on my way home...) and mine have always been OK - they have loose stools for a couple of days, but that's about it.
Just check the protein level - that's as good a guide as any so that if the new food has a higher level, you need to drop the amount so that they're getting essentially the same nutrients.

I haven't looked at the bag he brought home last night very closely yet. I know it's Canidae All Life Stages. It should have a guide on the side/back correct?

Yeah when I put it in the container today that we keep the dogfood in I looked at the back of the empty bag. Puppies under 6 mo. and at their weight should be getting 1 cup/day (so between 4 meals...1/4th/cup each) and Tikaani should be getting 3cups/day. Definitely less than what we've been feeding. (then again, she's a pig lol) what bothers me is that we're feeding her like mad ...well she was free feeding when the puppies were little...and now she gets 4 meals/day, just broken up throughout the day...and she inhales it and is still hungry later...but what's worrysome is that she's sooooooo skinny. I know dogs at healthy weight look skinny to us...but she's literally beyond that. Even though she seems healthy and is very active and hyper still, and producing milk even (in small amounts) she just worries me. Hopefully over the next month she'll put on some weight since she's almost 100% weaned...if she doesn't then she's going into the vet

She AND the puppies got prescribed their meds yesterday so they started on them last night. They are on Panacur, and all have to eat individually at night so that I can make sure they get the correct dose. It's a 3 day treatment. They still had worms today but I don't expect it to just work instantly overnight
