but still get emails from members!

Do you want message to go directly to your email address? It can be done.

First go to "User CP" and choose "Edit Options"

Make sure that the checkbox You can allow other members to send you email messages.
_ Receive Email from Other Members

is checked.
Now other members can send you emails by visiting your profile. The email address will be the one that is on file. Only members can send you email this way.

There is no limit to the nubmer of emails you can get - at least as far as the forum is concerned - so it is different from your PM inbox.

Keep in mind that by sending someone an email through the forum system, YOUR email address will be shown to the recipient.

Please remember that if you do post your e-mail in the open forums, it will be accessible to search engines and, more troublesome, spammers, who just love to get their hands on as many e-mail addresses as possible.

The method listed above is a great way to let your DogForum friends get/stay in touch with you without putting your personal info (and inbox!) at risk.
