Everyone else is doing it. D:

Behaviors:
Nipping when he plays chase with other dogs.
Stalking. (Crouched down, head low, staring intently.. It's adorable.)
HIGH (boundless) energy.
Very alert and quick to learn.. But also quick to ignore if something's more interesting.
No prey drive at all.

He looks quite a bit like a Lab/Chow mix that I used to have. Then again, he also looks a lot like a Lab/Border Collie mix that we had at the shelter when I was an ACO. Whatever he is, he's adorable!

He does look like he is having fun in the dirt, isn't he?
I am seeing Australian Cattle Dog. Maybe. Can we have a weight for this doggy?

He's got a long nose. Maybe he's a German Shepherd/Labrador cross.

Oh! That's what I forgot.
He's 45lbs, but strong as an ox.
He also has a long but single coat that soaks up water and sheds out constantly.

ACD and BC have been popular thoughts. I'm leaning toward GSD/BC myself.

I agree with you that German shepherd Border Collie sounds about right, maybe a little lab in there as well but all of the behaviors say Border Collie or a herding breed, but the white on him and his features look BC

Lab cross collie or lab cross german shepherd! He's gorgeous :)

Thank you! I'm inclined to agree. ;)
When his vet starts offering it (the start of 08, they said) I'll be getting his breeds dna tested. Will let you guys know what I find out. (:

When I saw him, heck when I read about him, I thought, GSD/BC cross.

So, that's my guess... BC/GSD.
Sounds a lot like my new gal! :)

Oh, and he's VERY cute!
