we share our home with princess mia my prairie rose, aka mia, the afghan hound. tbi franschesca water lily aka lily, standard poodle. bamba lamba ding dong aka bambi, the wheaten terrier, zoey damita aka zoey the long haired chihuahua. we also have two bettas, goober and huedette.
outside the house are sport a 16h overo paint gelding who belongs to my 9yr old daughter, a palomino qh, tag who is my horse and starlane victoria, vickie, my son's clydesdale.

The austrialian sheppard is two sox. His front paws are white, i didnt name him he lived in the house before i moved in.
The other dog, Akita/German Sheppard/ New Foundland/ st bernard (just found out this last one too)mix is Rusty. He looks like rust, he too was here before i moved in.

The puppy I'm getting is going to be named Shippo, after a cute little anime character who he resembles.

My 11 year old golden is named Buck. He was 6 months old when we got him and his name was Bart. All i could think of was the outlaw Black Bart, so i changed his name to Buck after the hero dog in Jack London's Call of the Wild.

My 6 1/2 year old Golden is named KayCee. One of my favorite actors is Keith Carradine, and I used the spelling of his initails for her name. (Took hubby about 6 weeks to figure out where I came up with that spelling for what he thought was Kasey) Her littermate borhter (we got them at 8 weeks) was named Hunter because we liked that name. We lost him to autoimmune hemolituyc anemia brought on by his proheart6 hearworm preventative injection at age 4. Still miss that precious boy so much,.

And then there is our adopted golen mix, Honey. This beauty had been an hour from being gassed at the county pound. They had her listed as Goldie, but hubby took one look and said she looked like she was made of spun honey, and Honey became her name.

And we have our cat, Pippi Longstocking. She is black, with some white on her chest & throat and white whiskers. Her front paws are white, but her back feet and legs are white up to her knees--and that is how she got the name Pippi Longstocking, just Pippi to us.

i know what its like to have two litter mates.
i used to have two american eskimo dog who were brothers.
we put them down together on 7-21-03.
they were only 3 years old. there named were ben and fritz.
ben had really bad hip problems and fritz was aggressive.he bit my brother and grandma.

Many people do not like to get two pups at the same time, but we never regretted getting golden retrievers Hunter and Kaycee. They kept each other entertained and truly cared for each other. When kayCee had her knee surgeries and had to be kept inactived for 4 weeks with the first knee, 6 weeks with other knee, I kept her tied to sofa leg and Hunter would lay beside her and lick her face.

When he was put in the hospital with the AIHA (and died 8 days later) KayCee was so depressed. She would lay under the table and mope, hardly eat. It was pitiful. She had just turned 4 and was acting like an old, old dog. But our adopted golden mix worked on her and finally got her to playing again. Today KayCee and Honey are best buds,.

I do know that sometimes you can end up with a couple of destructive pups, and what one gets into, so will the other making twice the mess and destruction. We were very lucky that neither KayCee nor Hunter were intrested in anything other than their toys, each other,food, and of course attention from us.

of the Group Wet Wet Wet as when we picked him up from the breeder he drooled all the way from Wales to Scotland and I remarked to my OH I'm wet, he's wet. in fact we're Wet, Wet Wet. Hence Pellow He is a year and a half. These are our three borzois.

My two dacchies are Polinard Creme Chantilly pet name Brodie as I had originall y wanted him registered as Polinard Creme de la Creme, but did not get it but decided to keep the pet named as Brodie i.e. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. and Polinard Golden Eye Pet name Faun as when she was a puppy looked just like a little faun. Forgot to mention Brodie is 11 years old and Faun is 7years.

My Birman Cat is Kerri, after the Kerry Blue Terrier because of her startling blue eyes. Keri is an old Lady of Thirteen

My Dalmation/Lab is Teaka. Her previous owners named her. It's Japanese for "dirty spots".

My Chihuahua/Min Pin is Dido. She came from a litter of 4 (3 females, 1 male). My Mom got one of the females before we got Dido. When she was deciding on a name for hers, she thought of Lilo, Dido & Jewel. She finally decided on Lilo since she loves the movie Lilo & Stitch. When I got my dog, I decided on Dido. Funniest part of the story is that the lady who got the last female of the litter named her Jewel.

I've had 4 ferrets as well, and we kept a tradition of names that started with "f":
Flower - My first ferret, a male, named after the skunk in Bambi.
Faylene - A female ferret, named after Bambi's girlfriend (I think it was spelled Faline in the movie, but I didn't like it that way)
Fozzie - A male ferret, named after the Muppet character
Feivel - My last male ferret, named after the cartoon character (Feivel Goes West, etc)
