Oh my! Ice can be NASTY stuff this time of year! :(
Especially for the elderly, where a fall can mean serious injury. Lucky for this 91-year old gal, a neighbor's dog's heard ear heard her calls for help.

Hartman, 91, slipped on a patch of ice as she was attempting to deliver cookies to a nearby neighbor. But it was a 3-year-old dog's insistent nature that prevented Hartman from freezing to death as she laid on the frigid cement, reported WNEM-TV in Saginaw, Mich.

I was reading that on a news site. Sometimes a yappy little dog is a true blessing...it was for that poor woman. Love good endings.
