Spaying is a routine surgery anymore, I am sure there is nothing to worry about. If you weren't breeding her, it is best that it is done anyway.

Good luck, Im sure everything will go fine!!

It's hard to volunteer anyone/thing we love for surgery. But it very much sounds like in Fudges case it will be a good thing, phantom pregnancies can be miserable affairs as I'm sure you've found out. Look to the future, no more negatives with the pregnancies (I always think that must have some sort of horrid mental effect on them too - to think that they're pregnant to the point of forming milk.....), lots of boyfriends and best of all no proper puppy scares!!

best of luck to you both, stay positive and let us know how you get on

Hi its for the best, my 5 yr old was spayed in december a week later she was back to normal. I did give her evening primrose capusules, i still do in fact, to help things settle down.;) The scar nowadays is so minimal thas she never even tried to take the stitches out.

if you are not going to be breeding her, you and fudge are going to be both me much happier. you also extend her life and lessen her chances of mammory cancer.

Hi nats, I know how you feel for I am going to get Breagh spayed and I will be worried sick untill I get her back. She is just comming out of her first season and hates being kept on the lead so for her own sake I will be getting her done. Let us know how Fudge gets on. Nancy.

I don't think my pup even really knew that she had anything done to her! At least, she didn't act like it! I'm sure your pup will be just fine! Keep us updated!

She will probably be alot happier when spayed! :) It's a common surgery, so don't be that worried! Good Luck!!!
