Book: James Herriot's Dog Stories

My husband borrowed this from the local library for me to read. I've never been to Yorkshire, but the short stories about a country vet almost made me feel like I was there.

I have not read that book but I read"The best Of James Herriot, favourite memoreis of a country vet", it was a rather large book but i just loved it, I love how he puts everything into such details you do feel like oyu are there, you want to laugh out loud with him and you want to cry with him.
Definitly a great book for anybody that loves animals, im going to look into his Dog stories book now as i bet it is great also

I loved it! I've also read; All Creatures Great and Small, The Lord God Made Them all, and Every Living Thing, and couldn't put them down. I'd recommend his books for any animal lover.

There was also a british TV series and a movie that are now all available on DVD.

I had no idea he had so many books, very glad that there are because i got something to look for at the library, Im rather picky about what i read sometimes.
I never knew he had a tv series or movies as well, will have to check them out to :)

Yer there was a t.v show Called all creatures great and small over here.It was very popular and ran for quite a long time

I own that book, I read it a lot when I was younger, and I still flick through it today, its fantastic :) Some of the stories are just so moving, I love the one about the dog who found his bark, and they are all written so well. I totally agree, cracking book! :)
