This is a lovely story of how a man who does woodcarving created a tribute to their little Terrier who had crossed the bridge. Amazingly, he did it so well that he won a prize for his artwork! :) He must have put a lot of love into it.
But this pooch is actually made of Lime wood, and acts as a permanent reminder to Janet and Graham Roper of their former dog Slater, who died eight years ago.
Mrs Roper was so distraught when their Cairn Terrier passed away that her husband decided to make a carving of it.
