Just joined today

Hi everyone! I came across this site while doing a Google search. My current dog is a German Shepherd mix that I adopted from the Humane Society last week. He is 2 1/2 years old, 60 pounds, and his name is Romeo. He is an awesome dog and we love him to death!

A little about me: My name is Melanie and I'm a married mama to 2 human babies (almost 4 year old and a 5 month old) and 4 fur babies (2 cats, 1 dog, and 1 hamster). I'm a registered vet tech, and live in the St. Louis MO area. I look forward to getting to know everyone! :D

Here is my doggie. I'd like to get other opinions on what you think he is mixed with. You can't tell in the pics, but his tail curls up (kinda like a husky).

Hello and Welcome to the Dog Forum. NICE TO hear a vet teck comes along. I loved working with the vets when I had horses for some thirty years plus. Learned tons of things without schooling at all? Enjoy, love your dog, I have German Shepherds I import from Germany and I see the Shepherd in your pet. nice....:)

sheplovr, I too love shepherds. My previous dog was a also a shepherd mix, and she was wonderful as well. I think my next dog will probably be a full blooded German Shep. :wubsmiley:

Romeo is gorgeous! I'm so glad he found a great home with you. I think he could have some Malamute, or some Akita. Really not sure though, just an inkling!

wot massive paws... we used to have a white german shepherd and a ridgeback but sadly we lost both of them within 6 months of each other. your dog looks wonderful tho
