Hi,

I havent told anyone on here yet but I was born with a foot problem! Its got a hard name to spell its like a club foot but not as bent but still bent!

Anyway I was born with my right foot alot smaller then my left and its bent inwards a fair bit!

Anyway when I was little I had operations on it and they said, when I was little when Im 3 years older I need to have my last operation! Well that now!:(:(

I went to my foot docter he said they would have to do a tendon move by moving the tendon in my foot to the otherside of my foot because the tendon is pulling my foot in! When I was 4 I had that done twice but in a different spot!

Well when I went he said I would have to have2 operations because another problem is my foots to arched so he willl fix that!

My 1st operation will be on the 4th of feb then Ill be on this leg thing then my next operation! All up Ill be on a leg think for 3 months!

Please pray my operations go well!:(

Emma I've had foot surgery and it is no fun, but afterward I could walk so much better. I hope it goes well for you and that you too will be able to get around better afterward. :)

Hi Emma--i too am facing not foot but ankle surgery, don't be afraid. Concentrate on all the positive things that will happen after your surgery and recovery. If you are like me, shoes have been a real problem and I really like pretty shoes. Maybe now that would be a plus for you, although it won't happen for me, oxfords, or sneakers only I am afraid.

Yes there will be pain, but the hospitals now work really hard to keep that under control. And you probably won't be able to bear weight on the foot for a while, for me it will be two months at least without touching the foot to the floor, I am planning on getting a "lot" of scrapbooking done. And if you are having tendon transplants you probably will have therapy. It is quite a challenge to learn how to use a muslce in a different way. They did lots of tendon transplants back in the 50's when polio was so prevalent. Good luck to you, and I will put you in my prayers.

Oh Emma I know you willl be tough and make this a kinad nothing and time will pass quickly.

I broked my left ankel Oct first, 06, now need the steel plate, nut, screws and bolts out as it is causing the ankel to ache, swell badly and throb alot, just plain words....PAIN PAIN BIG TIME!!

Since I was 3 months on a walker with no weight on the left leg at all, I hoped on one leg and sat in a lazy boy recliner all that time till about went crazy. Knew all the programs on all the channels.

So, I can walk in pain, limping along with no crutches, but I will get this done when I build up courage like you and Momtolilbuddy does. I am chicken it might lay me up again. I wish you both the best, time flies and it heals, so u will soon be back on both legs. U can still get on the forum...:)
