I am! Help me pick one out, but the choice will change when the pups get to be at least 8 weeks and I know which ones are males...
When suggesting a pup try to describe it's position in the picture, and which picture it is in.

Yeah, I would have to go with the lighter one also. I almost always go for the odd one. LOL

I loved the marking on it, and I felt it matches your other dog and the markins looks very even which I think (I dont know) is to prefer for show if you want to do that.
I belive that is a female thouh I just realised reading you wanted a male.

Are you going to make your choice based on coloring rather than temperament and personality?

Gorgeous puppies, love the Borzoi.
Your breeder may pick the one for you based on your answers to questionnaire. Don't be surprised or offended; the breeder spends the time in the litter, knows each puppy well and can best place them in the right home. Suit like temperament to like temperament.

I know of someone who went to see the litter and she said that none of them, are shy and all of the pups, have a very equal character!.She,also, said that the one that Monkey circled is the most outgoing one of the bunch.

Yes, and I've also met the pups form the previous litter and I adore their temperaments.

Aren't they keeping any for show?

I'm not sure. It's a repeat litter and they are showing the pups from the previous litter now. She may or may not keep one. I'm guessing not.
They are all show quality pups

Are you planning to show your pup? There's no such thing as a litter of all show quality pups! I take that back; there could be, but it would be extremely rare and no one could tell that at this age.

I actively show in the breed ring and not just my own dogs but clients as well. Of course I plan to show the pup!
and the pups are 1 day shy of 12 weeks and conformation can be shown at the age of 8 weeks. All the pups ARE show quality. =/

Sorry,AM but there is!.
By the way,in France, all pups are sold as equals so price is the same whether you show them or not!.All the pups I got, were ,all, confirmed:excellent!.A good breeder can, absolutly, guaranty his whole litter unless they are visible defect such as an incorrect bite or a visible color defect or conformation defect,!.

MY breeder sells them all for the same price too.
Just a little word of warning. Borzois are a very slow maturing breed and sometimes the ugly duckling turns out to be the swan and vice versa.
At such a young age it is difficult to predict, unless some have very blatent faults such as bad mouths or straight toplines and yes a good breeder should know this. Unless I saw pictures of all the pups standing in a show pose I would not hazzard a guess as to which one is best. You have to have really good pics of them standing or else be there and view the litter for yourself and make up your mind after you have gone over all the puppies. This way you can also suss out the confident and less confident and get an idea of the temperament . No matter how good the puppy may be in conformation only time will tell if it has confidence and ring presence.
Pleased for you Star and good luck with your new Borzoi puppy.

Star You are so welcome and I hope you enjoy your visit and manage to pick a lovely puppy. I am so pleased for you as they are a lovely breed to live with and to show. Though they look elegant and soft and gentle they are very powerful dogs at least mine are, having said that they need very gentle handling and to be spoken to quietly, but perhaps you already know that.
Anyhow do keep us updated as to the outcome of your visit.

hahaha after what golden&hovawart Im even more saying THAT pup. But Im very fond of outgoing dogs period this cause I like to drag my dogs everywhere. but... that's just me :p
they are adorable though I gotta say..
and depending on LINES in sweden they are all sold as show dogs too, unless visible errors as ears, colors, paws, bite, eyes, tail position something that is disqualifying THEN they get marked down otherwise they are sold equal.
Same thing when it comes to working dogs, sold as equal... even IF the pup don't show drive enough as a puppy he is still sold as equal. It's only for disqualifying show errors they are marked down.

I like the red and white male the best based on appearance, but i like the red and white on a barzoi best so its just my personal preferance

Lucky you, I am so flippen jealous I could spit, I have always wanted a borzoi.
Personally, if I was to pick from the pics alone, I would go with the one that is the farthest right in the first pic. But in reality, I would sit in the middle of the entire litter for a long time and I do mean a long time before I decided. That is the only way you can get a good scope of over all temperment, movement and general confirmation.
The entire litter may be considered show quality, but there will always be one that is better in this area and one that is better in that area. It's all a matter of which area you consider more important to you.
At least you have a leg up in that you are familar with sight hounds. While I may love them, they are about the only type of dog I actually consider more beautiful than my beloved standard poodles, I wouldn't know a good one if it bite me in the face, lol.
PS, thanks for the pics, I have always wondered what baby borzois look like. Post pics of the baby you chose and then others as it grows.

Yeah, and I was talking to Borzoi_mom who met the pups and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the darker red sable male.
