DogForum Redesign - Logo Mockup

DogForum.org is in the process of working through a redesign. Part of this process has us looking at replacing our current logo. Attached is a rough mockup of a potential new logo. There are two versions shown - one for a light background and one for a darker one.

Please post your honest feedback :)

I like the light background, which is unusual for me. I usually like colored logos.

The difference in logos is to show how it would look on either a light or dark background - the background color itself should not be judged as that will come next.

We may even allow members to select which background color they prefer (we may offer 2 or 3 colors members can choose from) - so having a logo that can work on any type of background color is essential :).

As mentioned, they both really are the same logo - the two images just represent how that one logo would need to look on either a light or dark background - but assume you would see both over time.

The reason we did two is that you will notice the rounded box with the pooch inside has a border. If that border was white, and put on a white background, it would not be viewable - hence the "reversed" color iteration as well.


So really what we are asking here is compared to the current logo we have, how do you like these?

I personally like our current one better, but if i had to choose from the new ones i would choose the coloured one

I like the one we have now but if we're going to change I guess I prefer the darker one.
