DogForum.org Calendar Image Nominations

DogForum.org will be producing calendars featuring the best photos found on DogForum.org.

We need your help to select which photos to include!

Here's how it will work:

1) Please nominate up to 3 images that are not your own by posting the image and link to the original location of the image within dogforum.org within this thread

2) Within 1 week, we will then ask members to vote on their favorites

3) DogForum.org will produce and sell the calendars with any proceeds to going to a dog related charity of the community's choosing

So please start nominating your favorite photos!

I know the pictures I want to nominate. But I spent over two hours late last night looking for them with no luck.

They are of Agilityk9trainer's Aslan doing weaves that was used to illustrate a dog's use of their dew claws, Bozoimads lovely dogs running together in a park like setting and Gideongirls picture of Gideon resting with his head on his paws at 9 months. The expression in Gideons eyes is what I loved about that one.

If these three owners can help me find the pictures and the url I'd sure be grateful.:)

Here's the pic of Aslan, but there is an issue. It was taken by a professional photograher. While he said I could use it for my website and for my personal use, I think I'd need to get his permission to have it in a calendar for charity. He's a friend, so if his picture wins somehow, I'm sure he'd lend permission.

Thanks, the third one might be the one I was thinking of! :) I thought I remembered one in this series where they were running, one slightly behind the other (as in the third Photo) but the bush wasn't there. Could be I was too busy looking at the dogs and missed the bush first time around. :o

Do they have to be in the gallery? Because I have a lot of good pics, but they aren't in the gallery. Maybe that's why nobody has nominated any of them ;)

No they do not have to be in the gallery. They can be in a thread somewhere too. My guess is that if the suggestions seem to be coming from gallery pics, it's because those are the ones that are the easiest to find. :headscratch:

Hi dinguep, it'st not really important that you post a big picture, but you do have to post the "link to the original location of the image within dogforum.org." (see first post in this thread) so we know where it came from.

So for example, the picture of the German Shepherd with the small dog is from bexyboo18, and this would be the link:

and you post that by copying and pasting the text in the box marked "UBBCode:" under the picture.

The other two pictures you had suggested cannot be used. :( They are copyrighted, and since the members who had uploaded them did not own the copyright themselves, they had to be removed.

So you can go ahead and suggest two more, just please make sure to post the links to the pages on the forum.

Carole, your nomination is fine, except it looks like you copied the UBBCode AND used the 'paste image' icon. So you have the 'IMG' tags twice instead of once.
Also can you post the page where it came from.
(I see I failed to do that myself with one of the images I had nomianted so I'll go back and do that now. :p)
