I've been on this forum for a while, and I'd love to find out who else on here loves these breeds as much as I do.

I currently have a 2 year old sable & white Rough Collie bitch, KC Reg and IMO wonderful! I was also the proud owner of a magnificent Rough Collie dog when I was a teenager, he was rescued at 10 years old and we only had 2 1/2 years with him, he became paralysed after falling over a rabbit hole, but we got him a doggy wheelchair and he went on for another year still wanting to chase his rugby ball. It was a short time to love him and I miss him so much!

My family have had other rough collies and my love of the breed is very strong, I love their devotion, their faithfulness and their silly 'singing'. I love that my collie can go from 100mph lunatic to an oversized lapdog content to cuddle in close on the sofa.

Anyway, I'd love to find other people that share my love of collies, there must be plenty out there?!

Here's my current collie girl, Simba...

I love the rought collie's too, we had a blue merle called Lady while we were kids, she was a great dog with a lovely temperment too.

I now have two sheltie's who are great little boys too with wonderful temperments too.

I've shown a smooth collie, Merlin was the best dog ever. But other than him I think collies are weird xD

ive developed a love for smoooth coolies, a friend of mine had one. She choose collie for their easy and work able temperament... Only problem was that she picked a dog from a litter where the Sire was from really good lines ;) Later on it showed that several of his other pups became good guard and bite work dogs and she have had a collie with more temper than any pitbull/dobermann/rottie Ive ever meet/had. but they are getting along..

But I fess up I love spidey with my whole heart, his temper and intelligence is funny as heck!!

Beautiful collie you have. :)

The first dog I owned that was "my" dog was a golden sable rough collie named Ruffis. Ruffis was the first dog I trained and he wound up affecting my life greatly as I'm now a professional dog trainer. :) Ruffis did obedience.

They are a wonderful breed.

I've since gone to the smaller version and have shelties.

yes, i love collies, they are the great allrounder, my first dog was a shorthaired collie, or a smooth coat, i had her for 10 years, then i had to make the hard decision to have her put to sleep, she had a lot of bladder problems, she could'nt stop herself from going to the toilet. but i loved the 10 years i had with her. i've had other's since, now i have a german shorthaired pointer, but i could never find another dog like her.

I adore any collies - my grandparents kept rough collies on a farm - they used to herd the geese and ducks. I still get tears in my eyes when i watch Lassie!

Speaking of Lassie where is Lassie? She has some gorgeous collies too!

Nice to know there are some out there who share the love, I've spent the weekend exhausting my dogs and Simba is now completely sparked out and dreaming in front of me like a little angel (after tearing around the beach and moors all weekend:D).

Pauline, I've never seen a sable-headed white collie before - she is truly beautiful! They're considered a 'breed fault' here in the UK for some reason (which makes no sense to me at all).

Anyway, off for last bedtime walkies now :)
