My friend owns Archies mam and Archies Aunty Gem.
Gem gave birth on Thursday this week to 10 little puppies...and I was there to help the little 10th one into the world. The first puppy was born at 1.15am the ninth one at 9.25 am.....then 5 hours later while we were having a coffee the tenth little fella who needed a bit of help into the world.

What an experience it was, Im only pleased I was there..it was amazing.

Gem and all 10 puppies are doing well... so here are some pictures.

ENJOY...

Well my oldest dog Oscar is also from a litter of 10, its not uncommon but Gem is such a petite little bitch, Im not sure where she was hinding them..;)

Thanks for the lovely comments, its going to be hard to resist one, and I shall be visiting at the weekend to take individual pictures.

How darling, hope she has enough milk for ten.? Make sure they all get to suckle enough to keep up with all the others for usually when I had ten, I had to sit every few hours and make sure the ones not eating were drinking their share also. Some get set back by not trying and the strongest push them off to drink enough. It is tough work now.

We must remember the female makes the amount of a litter and the male makes the sex of the litter. Interesting facts hmmmm? Nice puppies, what did most weigh? I always weigh mine and log it in my book, time, band necks of color and mark that down. First and last special stars also. The Best to you all.:) Isn't it funny how they start after midnight and go all night long, least mine do it is a true night shift till early morning..

Thanks so much for the information....I will pass it on to the bitches owners...any help appreciated as Archie was an only pup last time...so they will definitely have their work cut out this time. I hope its a good outcome and all the pups do well and mum too..

Wow, look at the tiny pups! Seeing them in your hands helps me appreciate just how very little they are. Please have a long, happy and healthy life, pups, and my fingers are especially crossed for smallest pup number 10. Congratulations!

Janimal, I just came back to look at these photos again. How are the mom and babies? They'll be a week old tomorrow. How is littlest #10? They look so tiny, I would be afraid to touch them! Mom knows just what to do though :)
