I saw this in Dog World and thought I'd post just in case there are some dogs you know of that would be suitable:
A POLICE force is appealing for unwanted German Shepherds and Springer Spaniels who may make the grade as crime-fighting canines.
They are needed to join West Yorkshire force’s line-up of dogs. Although the force has its own breeding programme, it says ‘gift’ dogs are a useful way of getting dogs with ‘the right pedigree’.
Good temperament
The dogs must be under two years of age, healthy and with a good temperament.
“There are strict criteria which must be met when we assess a gift dog, so we can’t guarantee that we will take every dog we see,” said a police spokesman.
