hey everyone i was just wondering what are the main characteristics of these dogs because i have a pekingese chihuahua puppy and shes very friendly unlike most chihuahuas that are way overprotective of their owners. She also likes fruit i dont know if thats a good thing or bad thing? Any ideas?:p thanks roser

I have a chihuahua. He's the only small dog I have ever had and the only chihuahua, so I can only go from what I know from him. He's dominant , over guarding and barks a lot. He thinks he's bigger than any other dog, and has no fear of trying to fight with them. He's stubborn and not very smart, slow to obey and hates to be disturbed when sleeping. But he's also loving sweet and smiles if you ask him to, he worry s about me if I am ill and loves to be hugged. He likes to stand on his back legs and give me his paws. He's very sensitive and gets very upset if I get angry at him, he even looks like he's crying. So I hardly ever get angry and he gets his own way a lot, lol. He's a one person dog and defiantly a mummy's boy. He's one of the best dogs I have ever owned yet also one of the must stubborn. I don't class him as a dog sometimes. He's something else .he's not like any dog I have ever had. I think chihuahuas don't come from wolfs they are more like a fox. He's my baby. And I love him to bits

hi,
your dog is so cute! she does the same thing as muffin and stands on her hind legs....lol
I had the worst experience the other day with tartar treats. Muffin decided to swallow instead of chew the whole thing. It was horrifying i had to put my finger in her mouth!!! Well she finally threw it up and i will never give her those things unless im watching her!!! so i guess i will start brushing her teeth from now on....
Thanks for the post ttyl

glad she was ok, my dog only eats dry complete food, its better on his teeth. had to clip a claw today took me half an hour for one claw lol. I try to do one a day as he hates it .
i sit him in the sink as he keeps still in the sink lol

Oh, good idea about the sink! My chi always stays still in the sink as well, and I too have an awful time cutting his nails. I think I will try your trick!

I have started Using the dremel on my dog, it took some training to get him used to it and I think I need a faster speed but its easy er then clipping the nails
