This is my first greyhound Andy who we've now owned for 7 years, he will be 12 in May.

Then came Willow who will be 6 in June, shes the white/black girl on the left. Then Tara who will be 14 in may, she was my first foster dog (who stayed)

Sadly last November Tara had to have an eye removed after an ulcer on her cornea ruptured:sadsmiley:
She now looks like this

We then "fostered" Joe who came to us at 18 months old and a nervous wreck. No knowing what this poor lad had been through but he's much improved and enjoying life now. He will be 5 in July. Here he is curled up in the chair on Tara's pink cushion

Then came Jake who will be 6 in october and is such a sweetheart, he too was supposed to be a foster dog (can you see a pattern here:D I am not good at fostering!)

And finally Sasha who is 12 years old and a sponsor dog for Greyhoundgap. We've had her just over a year and it was decided she was a little too wonkey to rehome so she will stay with me for the rest of her life. Sasha is the one on the right laying with Willow

Hello,
I have 2 ex racers. Hovis aka "Salix Warbler" who will be 16 in October and really showing his age and Boo Boo who turn't 7 last month aka "Betty Ville Pride". Dear Boo had to have half her tail off 6 weeks ago due to a severe infection in the bone. She is recovering well with now twice weekly visits to the vet for dressing changes.
If you want funny stories Hovis has bags of them, the latest pretending he's deaf and staring into space for minutes at a time. I'd love to hear if any of you have any funny little stories of your greys i might be able to relate to.
I haven't a clue how to post a picture of my 2 together. I have been trying but to no success. If any of you could help it would be lovely.

Oh, everyone, thanks so much - they're all beautiful. Sue, you made me laugh so much with your 'serial fostering' - I'd be exactly the same!
We were looking for a companion for our Border Collie x Whippett, Ellie, who came to us as a rescue in 2004. We had gradually become aware of the terrible welfare issues surrounding greys, and the more we discovered the more sure we were that we should try to make a (tiny little) contribution my making one grey's future happy, loving and fun. So . . .
My husband and I adopted our ex-racer Dundrum Classic - now called Barney - just a couple of weeks ago. He is four years old and looks as though he's had a hard career, bless his little cotton socks. He's an absolute delight and has learned the ropes of family life amazingly quickly . . . likes to wake us up in the middle of the night to play, though! And he's an avid collector of anything that he's not supposed to have, like clothes, tea towels, purses, ornaments, carrier bags . . . you name it. He doesn't damage them, just steals them furtively and takes them to his bed, which now looks like Steptoe's yard!
It's really early days for us in 'greyhound world', and we know that Barney's personality will keep blooming over the next few months. He's already smiling and twirling every chance he gets. Ellie just observes from the sidelines and seems completely bemused!
I'm with you, BooBoo - I too am not sure how to attach photos or else I'd bore you all for hours with the three zillion that we've taken so far! Can anybody give us any pointers?
