How to post pictures?

Yes can anybody tell my self and Elmuervo how to post our pictures as i'm sure we would love our greyhounds to be on here for all of you to see.

Hi Booboo,

I had a good look around and in 'post reply' there is a paperclip icon from which you can attach photograph files. The problem is that I will have to shrink my files before I can post them (they're far too big, apparently) and I haven't got a clue how to do it!

I use www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) to upload my pics. Then I simply copy and paste the IMG code under the pic and thats it!!!!
Hope I'm not in trouble for posting that link!!! Sorry if I am but I know you need help!

I just saw the question in a thread about Greyhounds so I moved it out where more people will see it.

and if you are having trouble uploading because of the size of the images, you can resize your images online here:

I personally recommend using the 450 x 600 (or the 600 x 450 if you are using portrait format) since this will show up nicely on most people's monitors.

If you're getting the 120 x 120 message it sounds like you are trying to upload an avatar.

I use photobucket, it is free; however, for some weird reason it is blocked by the school system's big brother program that blocks some sites that are educational and some bad sites slipped by! Figure that thought out!
BTW, how do I get my dog on the front page's Our Dogs?

How do I label my personal picture in my profile without doing what I did by putting it in the signature?

Hi IRR,
If you upload your pics to the gallery (http://www.dogforum.org/gallery/uploadphoto.php) as oppsed to your album (http://www.dogforum.org/album.php?do=addalbum), they will eventually show up. There is a random selection of gallery images that is used for the "our dogs" part of the page.

I'm not sure what you mean with the second question - can you re-phrase it?

When you go to profile you will see my picture; how do you put a caption that explains how, what, where. I tried to explain the picture in my signature.
I don't see where you upload the pic to the Gallery.

Ah! You want a caption for yor profile pic! I don't think that is possible, sorry!

If you look in my last post, I put the link to upload gallery pics right where it says "gallery."

If you have any sort of photo editing software on your computer, you can use the text button and put text directly into the image before saving it.

I use some pretty sophisticated stuff on my computers, but I believe that option is also available from photobucket (www.photobucket.com). I will check that out and get back to you on it.

I was correct. I just went to my photobucket account, clicked on one of the pics and then clicked on add text. This is a free service, so don't be afraid to sign up and take advantage.
