Hi everyone.

I have been spending HOURS online looking for some healthy treats. My dog is so picky!

Which ones have you all had good luck with?

Thanks for your help!

Hi JenniferP and welcome to Dogforum.org. :)

Honestly the treats my dogs love the best are raw meaty bones. They will chew on them for hours and you can pick them up cheap at the butcher or grocery store.

I am lucky that my two are not that fussy and love plain old Milk bones. ( not so healthy :D ).

There are so many kinds on the market from milk bones to holistic dog treats. What have you tried so far ?

Jake would sell his soul for Burns Fish treats - they are actually fish skins which have been dried and are crunchy - its wonderful for his coat too.

I use Innova EVO kibbles as treats. Also, those Charlie Bear things that PetCo sells. There is also the Zuke's Minis. These can all be used as training treats. I don't keep anything much larger around as far as just treats, because it's easier to give them many of those instead of just one dog biscuit.

Those fish treats sound good. >^^;<

Forgot to mention - Kongs - Jake loves Kongs stuffed with diced up carrots, some of his dried dog food and other veggies

I use liver. Buy a piece of either pig or lambs liver, cook it in the microwave for a few minutes (till it goes from red to brown) allow to cool, then cut into small pieces. Lay out on a tray and freeze - I keep mine in the freezer all the time and just take out enough for a walk/training session etc. It keeps indefinately too.
