That banner for the mummy is really bad - do others find it a problem. I'm glad I'm not epeleptic - but I do know if I stared at it for a few seconds I'd get a headache.

For an add that is offensive, annoying, or otherwise needs to be removed, please post the target url of the ad so it can be blocked.

I can hand on heart when I first joined a few months back say I never saw any banners any where on the forum. My system does detect banners, so I know if I had seen any. May be the forum upgrade recently
brough then to the surface. Can I make a suggestion in the CP section would it be possible for users who want to turn banners off to be allowed to via a simple On or Off Link ?

Being that the site is solely supported by ad revenue, disabling ads is not really an option we can afford to make to members.

Fair enough but I have never seen any ads ever till recently and that's the truth. I mean you can't miss them can you as they are quite large :)

Taeric - its only The Mummy banner which is causing me a problem - I'll wait until it 'rears its ugly head from the sand' and post you the URL

http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/m/Mummy-Tomb-of-the-Dragon-Emperor-The/index-3727184.html

no sooner said than done - it appeared. It is only the banner with the link that is a problem!

I understand that the revenue from adverts keeps the site running, but at the same time that Mummy banner really does flash too much. Under the circumstances can you tell me how to disable the adverts, at least until such a time as The Mummy advert has finished. thanks.
