Visitor messages and PMs

Since there is some confusion as to the difference between a "visitor message" and a "private message" I wanted to post info here.

A "visitor message" can start a "conversation" between members. Having a conversation this way is about like having a real conversation - someone else who is not involved can listen - and even join in.

A "private message" is like handing someone a note in a sealed envelope.

Thanks Jean good to know as I am yet some confused not being on like I was with pups leaving. I will be back, been planting when not raining. I am catching on, but sure was different at first.:)

You can also think of it this way....
a visitor message is like leaving a note taped to someone's front door, while a PM is more like a letter you put in their mailbox.
