Chat question ?

Hi a couple of times when I try to get onto chat I am getting a message that says

"ANOTHER USER IS LOGGED IN WITH THIS USER NAME, PLEASE TRY AGAIN"

Why is this ? Is someone using my user name to gain access to the dog forum ? And are they posting things under my name, that I don't know about ?

I think what is more likely is that you are a "chat ghost."
When you log out, do you close your browser or do you click the "x" near the upper right of the chat window?

When I shut down I just click on the red X, I don't log out.

Eh? What red X? I don't have a red one anywhere. :D

The upper right of my screen has a red X like when you are shutting down the pages on your computer to shut it down completly.

Ah. Well that MAY be it...I just tried going in and it showed you leaving as I entered. It is as if it resets itself when someone comes in. I'm not sure though, I don't really understand how the chat software works.

i use that same chat server or software on another online group i am in, and some times if you just close the window or leave the window open and go on to another site it leaves you signed in to the chat for a bit. or until some one else comes in.
