I desire a German Shepard. But would a female GSD get along with a female Brittany? Does anyone have a dog-friendly GSD? I have had reasonable experience with herding and working breeds before now, just not with GSDs. Please help me, I am destined for a Shep!

I love German Shepards. But is the breed right for my lifestyle? I am a young, active single with a dog-friendly female Brittany. I live in a fairly small suburb with a medium-sized, sucurely fenced lawn. I also have two cats, both of which have been raised with dogs. My job is flexible, so I'm home most of the day. I probably need an adult dog because I don't want to go through the housetraining again. Please help me; I desire a GSD!

Well honey I cannot guarantee you anything not knowing how you would raise your dog or train it. I have 5 females that run together and I need to be on my toes at first when they start, but they are of working lines from Germany and other countries, and have alot of energy or drive. They usually ignore each other and do their thing.
I have not problem, but I would advise you NOT to purchase an American Bred Shepherd as they are totally ruining this wonderful breed. I would stay with nice pigment, drive to work, and try to get a European bred female. Adults run more than buying a puppy and of course cross the pond the Euro is so high u need to match it with our worthless dollar.
I can advise and help you If I know just what you want, I have contacts there and other countries than Germany. I warn about buying in our states, breeders will say anything you want to hear honey. Good luck....:)
