Have you done this her whole life? Did you just start doing this? I would continue doing it for your dog to get used to it. What kind of brush do you use?

Did she bite you aggressively on purpose? Or was she trying to grab the brush and got your hand instead?

well no ive not done this 4 a very long time. i was doin this and the brush got lost, so i bought her a new one.not really sure what kind of brush im using, i will see.

i dont think she purposley bit me. weve been out side throwing her toy to her and my lil cuzins, about 3 and 4, were trying to take it from her and theyve done this alot and shes showed no aggression towards them. she has only showed a lil aggression to the boy cuzins i have that i had a problem with about the trampoline.

Well I think she needs to get used to the brush. I think you should start out slow. Just brush a little bit each day. Start out maybe with a 5 minute grooming session, with treats. When she lets you brush her praise her and give her a treat. Each day as she gets used to it you can do it for longer. Til you get til the right amount of time and then start doing it every other day and slow to however many times a week you do it.

The dog knowing the commands lay and stand will also help. While brushing the back you can tell her to lay or sit. When you need to brush the sides and legs tell her stand to make it easier.

yes I do have AIM. My screen name is in my profile I believe.

Also what I just thought about was that I think it you teach your dog "leave it" it will be helpful cuz when she tries to go after the brush you can tell her "leave it" so she will leave it alone.
