I came across this cute dog on campus this past week and can't figure out what breed it is. Since it's not my dog and I didn't know the person, I don't have a picture.

The dog was about thigh level to the man, and I think he said she weighed 65 pounds. She looked just like a doberman puppy (at least all the doberman's I've seen). The man told me that she was a doberman terrier mix and that she was already ful-grown.

I can't remember the breed name that he mentioned and I haven't been able to find any pictures that look like this girl. She was adorable and I would love to find out more about the breed. Is there any chance that this sounds familiar to anyone here?

Thanks, and sorry that I don't have any more information.

did it have a tail? manchester terrier comes to my mind but the 2 sizes are under 12 lbs and 12-22 lbs I think. A samll doberman would be about 65lbs though.

Thanks for the reply ruffian. Manchester terrier sounds like the breed he mentioned, and after looking up some pictures I'm fairly confident that's what she was.

She was slightly taller than the standard limits and I'm certain she weighed more than 22lbs (althought 65lbs may have been wrong). Also, her head and other features were not nearly as sharp as the AKC breed pictures. Could this just be the fact that he said she was a mix, or is it possible that she is a different breed?

The man told me that she was a doberman terrier mix and that she was already ful-grown.

So, Im guessing she was a doberman x terrier???!!:)

Overhere, Manchesterterriers are not thigh high, I would say no taller than knee height!!

in doberman pincher, pincher mean terrier in german. so maybe it just a different term. maybe was it a german shepherd? they sorta look alike

I am not getting why you think she was a purebred if the man told you she was a mix, but German pinschers look like smaller versions of dobermans.
