This is my first post here, and i would like to thank all of you in advance for any information.
My mother just got this puppy as a gift, and it seems like the perfect pet for her. Its really bonded with her well.
Two months ago we lost our Wrought that we had for 12 years to medical complications, and we have been very sad since.

Can you please help to identify this breed?

It is adorable and kind looking. I will guess Yorkie and Schnauzer mini. I had one many years ago kinda like this I named Rags. It was a honey for a pet. Very good temperment. Good luck with your new pet and Welcome to the Dog Forum:D

I'll go with the Border Terrier, possibly mixed with something else.
Can we have an age and weight on this doggy?

He looks like a border terrier for sure to me! That was the first thing that came to mind in the first pic! :D Where your mom get the dog? and how old is it?

Am I the only one that sees Jack Russel in him, and maybe schnauzer

Defintely terrier. Jack russel or border. I didn't think borders were very common, at least not enough to see too many mixes, though.

He looks long in body. Could a wire daschund be a possibility?
