Honestly, yes. However, is it my duty as a pet owner to do it as needed and I take that responsibility seriously. If you need a simple, straight up answer though... then I would have to lie and say, "No." :D

NO Shepherds do not need baths unless they got into a dead animal etc. A daily ten minute brushing is all that is required of the no maintenance breed. Mine shed little because of the supplements I give them also. They have gorgeous coats, look at them on my web site.:D

Yes I wash my dog (although not very often)

I do them in the bath at home.

Its not a hassle so to speak but is hard work, I broke my back a while back & still suffer, last time I bathed my dogs (for a show) I put my back out lifting them into the bath (their not small dogs) I couldn't even stand the morning of the show & had to dose myself up with plenty of pain killers, was worth it though coz we didn't do to bad! If I can get my self an attachment for outside I will probably start doing it that way to save lifting in the future.

I've seen something like this, was VERY expensive, so no. Besides, I don't clean them often enough to warrant something like that.
