I have been using a tea tree oil shampoo but it is not working to keep the infections down. Does anyone have any other suggestions ?

Thanks !!! :)

I had a cocker with a similar problem. She would stink just as bad after a bath. The only thing that helped was to mix a little povadine iodine in with the shampoo. I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner. It leave the fur soft and free of matts. The iodine kills bacteria and gets rid of the "doggie" smell.

Have you tried Malaseb or Etiderm or Epi-soothe which are available from the vets? You can buy Etiderm or Epi-soothe on line but Malaseb is by vets prescription only. I have been using them for my dog because we was told he had skin allergies which turned out to be sarcoptic mange. They are anti-bacterial shampoos.:)

Show seasons carries a shampoo called Sooth
soothe® MEDICATED SHAMPOO

MSDS
For use on dogs, cats, puppies & kittens

An antiseptic shampoo with a wide range of antimicrobial activity against fungi, viruses and most bacteria. Dogs and cats with smelly, greasy skin may have a bacterial or yeast infection present while some also have a fungal skin infection. For such animals, Soothe® with 3% chlorhexidine is an excellent compound to help combat these types of problems. Chlorhexidine can also help as an adjunct to treatment for demodectic mange and other pyrodermas. Use full strength but can be diluted up to 3:1.
I Highly recomend if you can get it. Only avalible to groomers but if you have a regular groomer you might be able to get them to order it for you.
