So what do we all do in our spare time, besides walking the dogs?;)

I've got 3 kids aged 11, 10 and 6 so a lot of the time I'm taking them here there and everywhere. I'm quite heavily involved with the local scout troop (all the kids go to it - ya gotta do your bit haven't you?!?!)

But in my 'me' time (what little there is!!) I love long distance running. I have my first official race this Sunday, a 10KM round a local castle and I can't wait!!! I plan to run for charity later on this year - LOL watch this space, I'll be touting for sponsers :D

I enjoy showing my guinea pigs :) Its a fun day out and the piggies love all the attention they get. We have a show this Sunday that we are attending :)

Me, i show my dogs and occasionally judge . I'm fixture sec for the local mens footbal league, got volunteered for that!. I also used to play competetive darts, but had a car crash which put a stop to that. Enjoy going to the gym.

I love to read, knit, crochet and draw. I also just signed up to volunteer at the local shelter.

I just read Marley and Me and I would suggest it to all the dog lovers out there. The author wrote a book about the life of his labrador retriever, Marley. It is very funny, but also sad at parts (I don't easily cry at books, but i did cry at this one). It is very well written.

Does anyone have any good dog book suggestions? I mean like novels, not training manuals.

I love taking the dogs over the woods or down the beach in my spare time, I also enjoy gardening but that is when the weather is good.

I love writing stories, keeping bettas, researching animals, ballet, acting, drawing, painting, and some knitting and crochet. I also love to swim. I am very serious about ballet and go to class three times a week, I dance on pointe, and I am in the Nutcracker, when it's that season. I go to Saratoga Performing Arts Center in the summer time. I also love the beach, and hope to be in some more shows in my acting!

wow, that's pretty cool, i run about 4-5 km a day and that's broken up into 2 sessions, but 10? that's a whole other league LOL:D

OUCH!!

LOL I finished it! It was a very hard course (I suppose I would say that...) 2 miles through ankle deep mud - twice, and some hills that were almost impossible. But I finished it, which was the main aim :D :D

My legs are a little achey today, I'm resting as much as possible!

Luckily the kids aren't off till next week - the hols are slightly different in Wales to England. LOL what am I saying? I have a house husband - I come to work for peace and quiet :):)

Next race is 30th April in Liverpool, I'll let you know how the training goes :)

Since I don't work, hubby is long haul trucker and gone 2-4 weeks at a time, and the boys are grown and married, i got lots of time. My dogs and grandkids come before all this but.... My top hobby would have to salt water fishing. I love to do both jigsaw and crossword puzzles, I have a couple of small flower beds and lots of potted plants on the patio. I love to walk the beach and pick up interesting things like shark teeth, the ever so rare fossil sand dollar, the very rare (and small) conch shell, and stuff I have no idea what it is, just catches my eye. I have used some peices of drift wood for bases for flower arrangments. I also embroider. and I like doing different arts and crafts.

I love when we get together with the kids and play games, card games, board games, even dominoes.

Though I do enjoy renovating this old house we live in .

Though as I like bright colours I think i may have scared the neighbours a tad.

In summer we spend a lot of time at the beach with the dogs !!!

I love spending time with my pets and family. I go out with friends a lot, play sports (badminton, soccer, basketball, and volleyball), though just for fun. Not on any teams. I also draw and paint, read, go swimming, listen to music everywhere I go. I love going to see movies. Camping is awesome. I also love going horse-back riding, though I don't own any horses. Someday I will though. They are one of my biggest passions. I like to mess around on the computer a lot too.
