We have 7 horses.

I have 3 of them broke to ride and have to work on two more this year. They are all young horses with the oldest two being 5.

This is four of them :)

I love horses - I left my 17.3 thoroughbred in Australia.

I have just moved to a small block of land in Texas that is no where near horse safe yet - as soon as it is I'll be looking for my first horse.

I rode dressage for many years - Was competing in Medium tests, hoping to work my way up, when my horse had an accident and lost some movement in his hind legs. No longer up to Dressage Standard :( .

So we started Eventing - we both had a ball!!!

I miss it all so very much.

Nothing like going for a gallop - wind in your hair, water coming out of your eyes from the speed - sound of horse getting his second wind ..... [deep sigh]......I just depressed myself... better go and cuddle my dawgie.

This topic depresses me as well :( I don't own a horse but I'm dying to. I go riding a lot. Used to get lessons. Private and public. I did a semester of co-op at a stable while in high school. Best time of my life. There was a palomino named Luger there. He was my absolute fav but his owner NEVER came in to see him. Total neglect. The owner of the stable gave me permission to look after him, groom him, give him love, etc :D
Hey Doberman's, your Cisco (or Sandi?) Looks exactly like a palomino named Ed at my co-op stable! Beautiful! Awesome pic of Cindy running as well.
*Sigh...*

Horse girl here! I only own one right now. A coming two Quarter Horse sorrel filly named RWS Legendary Grace (Gracie). She's my girl. I bought her from the people I used to work with that breed QH and Paints. Anyone interested in looking at their site? Nicest people in the world. This spring I'm giving my boys and two girls from town riding lessons...crazy about horses! God bless!

I currently own only one horse, i sold my paint colt because i had to move, but my pally boy has been with me for almost 16 years. i absolutely love horse, but unfortunately due to a rather severe back injury that has me in bed most days, we are both retired.

He's my baby, and as my hubby knows, i got the horse before him, so guess who goes first lol

Here's a couple of pix. one from about 12 months ago, before my injury, and a cute one just for kicks.

No, but I wish I had. I used to ride a lot, then went on to share a few horses but since moving recently I havent been able to ride for financial reasons mainly, and I dont have my own transport and there is nowhere nearby. :( I miss it so much.

i dont have one... not living in the right area...chicagoland area. theres not enough room and public stables are too far away... i love horses though. I went to the Running R Ranch last spring and stayed there for a week. we, being me and my aunt, rode two hours a day, the trails are nice. i woke up early every day to feed and brush all the horses. If anyone's intrested the ranch is in Bandera Texas. For more info, Google- Running R Ranch. I highly recomend it to any horse lover.

ps. they also have great meals there!!!

Here is a pic of our two year old Solid paint filly. Miss Que T or Tia for short. She a sweet filly whom I wll train next year.

I don't believe in starting them too early and even though she has the hieght and size to start riding her now her knees have not closed yet.

THANK YOU

the big ol paint is just that a big ol paint. (really needs a diet but i hate stalling a horse) out of a registered b/w stud and a grade bay paint. he is a huge boy... the first is a picture of madison and sport just after we got to the campsite this past weekend.

but we do have a clydesdale! smile! her name is starlane victoria aka vickie. she is a bay roan registered clyde, she is a gentle giant. i bought vickie to drive but my son fell in love with her.... so last summer ( i bought her last spring) i gave vickie to him. he bought a big ol paint stud (was the farm sire for 7 yrs spook is 9 now) had him gelded and is riding him so vickie is now my 3 1/2yr old granddaugter's ride!

dlambertz
06-27-2006, 05:47 PM
no she was born in lansing new york bred by david and mary flinn. she was sold to owners in michigan and stayed there until being sold to a lady in florida. i bought her from that lady after she only owned her a few months.

i love to trailride... used to barrel race a little when i was younger...now i just like to hit the trails. overnights are my favorite and i prefer hills and gullies to riding the flat...thought a flatlander at heart when it comes to riding i like a challenge on the trails.

Trailriding is my fave as well. I use to live very clsoe to the forest and did lots of it but not we are on the baldfaced praire adn not alot of trails around here, lots of flat field and roads !

We do trailer our horses to the forest and we do plan on some overnight camping this year. I am very excited.I will have to take lots of pics to show everyone when we go :)
