I am attaching a poem written by my best friend as a tribute to the woman who save my youngest granddaughter's life. If not for Dawn, a respiratory therapist (who is known for always wearing red shoes) in the intensive care unit at one of our local hospitals, my littlest granddaughter would not have survived the tragic accident either. My sister in law who is a charge nurse at the same hospital where Dawn works nominated Dawn for the highest award the hospital gives to an employee and Dawn won it that year. My sister in law presented Dawn with this poem and a picture of my granddaughter whose life she saved at the awards ceremony. I brought Ali J to the ceremony as well.
Thank you for all of the imput I received while going through the dilema of re-homing my big dogs. I very much appreciated all of your ideas and support.
