Puppy biting me

my 9wk old pup keeps biting my hands, iv tried water spray and yelping wen she does it but nothings working. help

What breed is your puppy? Not that this makes any differance. When you put your hand down to stroke the pup and he bites try clenching your fist and tell him a firm No make him sit, and stroke him if he lets you even if it is just for a second or two praise him and give him a wee treat. Stoke him every chance you get and a wee reward when he does'nt bite, he should soon start to link being stroked to nice things. If this does'nt work try putting a few little stones in a small plastic bottle and when he bites you bang the bottle on the floor and say No but you must be firm and do it every time he bites, they do not like the sound and soon get the message.Hope this helps. Hi, when she does it nex t time say " ouch" but DON'T move your hand away. BTW she will be teeting. get her a kong and fill it with some goodies.

well try wat nancy said and if u find she is still biting, just try pulling ur hand away if he goes to bite if u have quick reflexes cause u should be able to sence when she is goin to bite, its not hard to tell just watch her mouth and if she looks like shes gonna bite pull ur hand away and say in a firm voice NO. When u pull ur hand away dont go to pat her straight away, wait bout 2 mins and try again and as nancy said clinch ur fist or u can face the back of ur hand to the pups nose for her to smell, if she trys to bite u do wat i said b4 , pull away. If that doesnt work try and pat her back cause every pup ive met has done the same to me and thats all i did, pat its back and once its used to it try her head and see how u go.

oh. tell her no and pop her on the nose just to tell her thats not allowed. my puppy done that and she was teething but i noticed she would only do it to me and so i began popping her nose and sayin no in a firm voice(?)

When you do the "yelp", you really have to do it very loud and high-pitched. Quiet yelps usually don't do much. You'll be able to tell if the dog gets the point because he'll startle, and then start licking. Then you can praise.

If it still doesn't work, just get up, go in your room or A room, and close the door behind you for a few minutes, shutting the puppy out. This teaches the puppy that harsh biting gets him ignored.

my girl Lilly did that all the time when she was a puppy. she finaly stopped when she was like 4 months.
