My friend and I found a stray dog but we aren't sure what breed she is a mix of. She is really quiet and friendly

She is mostly white on her front paws up to her head, and the rest of her is brown and black. She is little but weighs about 30 pounds. She is about as big as a Westie.

If anyone can help us identify this breed we would be very grateful. All we know is it is a mix.

I'd go with corgi cross - the face is very Corgi-like. Possibly a bit of JRT too?? Lovely :D

Very cute! As others have said, i think she is probably a whippet/corgi mix!

Welsh Corgi mix.... Cardigan Welsh Corgis (the Corgis with a tail) can have brindle coats.

Oh yeah it does look like a Corgi. Thanks for clearing that up. Well we kept her at my house for about a week because she had no tags, just a collar and we really didn't want to give her to the humane society because she was so nice and easy to take care of, and my three dogs loved her. So we started seeing little ads that seemed to fit her description, so we gave them a call but no answer. A couple days later another missing ad for her showed up in the paper but this time with a picture. We returned her about a week after she showed up on my porch. So we miss her because shes so cute and nice, but it felt good giving her back because the owner actually started crying ang hugging her when we returned her.

Awwwwww, that is wonderful news that you found her owner. She is such a sweet dog so I can see why you miss her, but you must feel great knowing that you helped to reunite her with her family :)

She could be a cross between a Jack Russel and a Whippet, but she looks a bit like a Corgi aswell.

Looks like a jack russell/boston terrier cross to me. Has the coloring of a boston and the smooth sleek coat, with the longer snout of a jack russell.

I just don't see the thick coat of a corgi, or the stockiness of bone, like someone else mentioned.

Who knows????

That's what makes a mix so fascinating - you can spend their whole lives guessing what they're made of.

She looks like a Jack Russel X Staffi to me. Very well done for going to all the trouble of finding her owners, they were so lucky it was nice girls who found her she looks lovely and well cared for. Well Done.

the dog you spoke of earlier, could it be a staffy cross maby with a jack russel as alot of staffy's are a brindle colour and they often have the white markings running up the front of there chest............

deffenetly has the head of a jack russel and the colour and markings resemble a staffy's markings and the nice sleek coat would come from a staffy too, does she have short stumpy legs and a wide body??????

It looks l more like a Jack Russell/Whippet Cross to me. :)

Lovely ending to know she is now back with her owner. So very caring of you to keep her and make sure she got back where she belonged.

Agree with the Corgi from the short legs and 'flat-footedness'.
You did a good thing taking care of her whiloe she was lost! :thumb:
