Yet its on thurasdays from 6:00 to 7:30. We went for the "run through" which means you bring your dog to be tested to see if they listen to you and to test if they are not hostile to people or other dogs. Oakley did fine, especially with the hot dog pieces in my pocket!:D But our friends told us about this place and their son and hos dog are in the class.
His dog's name is Rusty and he is an irish terrier, i WAS looking forward to meeting him, byut on the night of the run through I didn't like him so much anymore.
I had never seen an irish terrier, neither had Oakley. So when they brought him in the dogs sniffed each other like dogs do. They had been telling me Rusty is only about a year old and only been to one whole session of obedience class with danny (the son, dog's owner.) So, they said that when he has his training collar on he was an angel. (he did have the collar on)
So come time to do the run through It was Oakley's turn; she did great! I always walk her off leash so she did very good at that and listened to me the whole time. Well, then it was Rusty's turn. As soon as the leash was off he went wild! Danny kept calling him but he didn't come and it took like 3 minuets! Rusty was just doing his own thing. Well, to make a long story short they made it! They passed the run through! (i think the evaluation lady was just being nice) but yeah, they are in.
So, on the way out Rusty started snarling at oakley! He started lunging at her and the only thing holding him back was a prong collar and a ten year old! AND Danny told be that once their other dog (nikki, mini poodle) Got one of Rusty's snacks and he did her and made her bleed!:wtf: Well, just sayin I don't want Rusty near oakley when he is off leash and the whole class is off leash! I'm kinda scared. But, thats my experience. We go tonight, I'll be sure to tell everyone what happens. =)
