Hi there~ My name is Miranda and my husband and I just got Kender today and we're so excited to have her in our family. We've both had pets growing up in our families but never where we were the sole providers for the pups so I'm sure I'll have tons of questions as I train her over time!
So far, we've had her for about 6 hours and she is such a friendly yet calm and placid girl and we're so happy we found her!
Here's some pics of Kender from her first day home with us!

Hi Kender,
Having raised three puppies I can tell you there are many challenges such as house breaking and training. But those first few months slip by way too quickly so enjoy your new puppy.
Are you crate training your new little friend? That helps a lot in getting your pup housebroken and keeps him or her safe from chewing up objects that could be harmful.
Also it's a safe haven for when the puppy needs a nap and you can't supervise his or her activities.
Cadence my 20 month old is perhaps my most challenging Aussie. If didn't watch her every second she could find more things to get into than I could shake a stick at. One time when she was about 3 months old I found her on top of our kitchen table licking a plate my husband had left there. I only had to tell her once that wasn't acceptable and she never did it again.
I think god made puppies adorable because there are times when you're just going to want to throw in the towel and they'll give you this little look and your heart will melt.
Enjoy and have with your new addition

We have a wire-framed kennel with a sheet draped over top in the living room that is rather spacious that my sister donated to me from her huskey's time living indoors.... Kender doesn't mind the kennel at all -- in fact she goes in there to take her naps even if we dont put her in there when we're close enough to keep an eye on her... But last night she decided she bark all hours of the night so we let her sleep with us.... >>i think i made a mistake with that one, we'll see if she does the same tonight<<
I don't mind her sleeping with us -- but I don't want her to think that if she barks at midnight she'll get whatever she wants either. I have a small travel kennel that we can put in the room if you think that would work better -- but won't she get claustrophobic? I know I would~
Other than that, so far so good. She's still very placid when we're just relaxing and when we want to play -- she riles up. Very well mannered and quiet (until sleep time.) She's not at the chewing stage yet but we supervise her like a hawk; my husband is home all day with her and i'm home all night with her so she's never really alone and probably won't be for her entire puppy life (our schedules won't be changing any time soon, so this was the best time to add our new addition so she could get the best training and supervision.)
Thanks for the tips Aussiepaws~ Appreciate any help I can get :)

The size crate for a pup should be big enough for the pup to stand comfortably and turn around. While it may seem too small if the crate is to large than the pup might use it as a place to potty so you don't want it to be too large. What you can do is block off a portion of it with a large cardboard box tilted on it's side and put a blanket in it for the pup to curl up on.
I've always crated my pups in our bedroom especially since they are likely to wake up in the middle of the night to let you know they have to go potty. Usually that only lasts for a few weeks.
By the time most pups are about 3 months old they can usually make it through the night.

I have a 7 month old white german shepherd named "Sage Snowcloud."
I also have a 10 year old male Dalmation named"Shaddow"
Sage is the Alpha and Shaddow is the wimp.
I am hoping to find someone on here with a WGSD also.I want to know more about them.having 2 dogs of different ages and temperments is not an easy task.
I also love them to be in bed with me,but the trainer and hubby disagree.
What is wrong with having warm furry loving creatures to comfort you?( I ditched the trainer but hubby I will keep):)
Dawglova, i love your sense of humor! Great to have you with us, and please- do tell us more about your dog! I LOVE WGSD and have always had great interest in them. I have a siberian husky rescue and a Whippet as well as two cats. Come and visit us all in the 'Chat' section sometime, its great!

Cadence (aka Capers) little miss demo dog is my second female dog in over 15 years. She came into our lives rather unexpectedly.
Our 13-1/2 year old Aussie Zephyr had been in declining health and just before Thanksgiving 2005 we had to put him to sleep as he had stopped eating. He had a tumor in his chest that was inoperable and he had started bleeding internally. Saying good-by to our very first pup after 13-1/2 years just about broke our hearts. Little did I expect to be bringing home a new puppy 3 short weeks later.
Zephyr's breeder ... also my other Aussie Odin (whom I'll introduce shortly) had been looking for a new puppy to show. So she had invited me to come along with her when it was time to see the litter she was interested in. I had made plans to join her several months before Zephyr's health took a down-turn.
Well the day came and we went to see the litter. When Cadence's breeder let the pups out into the puppy yard this little blue merle ball of fluff with blue eyes came flying up to me, stood against my leg and when I lifted her up slathered my face in puppy kisses. She was actually pick of the litter and while I fell in love with her instantly I knew my friend Terri would have first choice. She ended up choosing Cadence's black tri sister who looked so much like the dog Minnie she'd lost that it seemed to be fate.
So this is Hemlocks Touched By the Wind who enjoyed some time in the show ring and may still be shown at a later date in ASCA's altered program.

This is Accolade's Ode to Arrogance. My 12 year old Aussie boy.
He's been one of the best dogs I could ever have asked for.
He was Zephyr's companion for 10-1/2 years. He put up with Zephyr's bossiness, with a patient easy going nature that he still has with Cadence who can be a real pain in the butt.
I use to show Odin in Obedience but he hated it. I did some agility with him and he also made his debut in the show ring at age 9 in the Altered class. He took a 2nd and 3rd. We had a good time and while he didn't enjoy the show ring much he did enjoy socializing with everyone outside the ring.

I think your right on with that guess.
Recently on our local news station they were saying you could have your dog DNA'd as each individual breed has it's own generic code. I don't know who does the DNA analysis or how much but they are pretty much able to tell what mixes a certain dog might have.

I live in South Florida, am married with two kids, one which has flown the coup and is now living in Connecticut. Since I'm a partial empty nester, and lost my beloved Max in May (another Shih Tzu), I have been on the hunt for a new fur-baby. I was there (at the breeder's) for her birth and got to help. But as I have switched dog foods often (he is both sensitive and picky) I have started researching just all about dog food and started a website a few months ago to share the information so far.. it's a continuing project really.

Hi everyone
I have a 10yr old Labrador retriever,Buster, who over recent wks has become very poorly. He has been diagnosed with congenital heart disease and is being treated for this. Busters symptoms are, weight loss, vomiting and diorreah twice in last month. Daily coughing, hacking sometimes with blood. His breathing is 75% of the time laboured and raspy. Some days he looks like he is at deaths door and other days he looks fine. On a few occassions his gums and tongue turned blue due to him not getting enough oxygen.I love Buster very much,as I say he is on medication, my worry is that he is suffering, would it be kinder to let him go. I dont want to keep Buster just because I cant bear to let go of him, especially if hes suffering. Am I just prolonging things for him ? im cocerned about his quality of life. He is urinating more also. He still enjoys his food and his walks though they have to be short. Tires easily. My vet has said Buster will feel discomfort rather than pain. I really dont know what to do for the best.
I would appreciate any opinions or advice given.

She's got a long way to go before she's a happy-go-lucky pooch but I plan on making sure that she makes it and enjoys life. I don't have any pics to post yet unfortunately, but she's absolutely gorgeous!

OMG you poor thing, my heart is feeling for you, i so really hope you do find him, you have done the right thing, in advertising and telling the police, how about asking the local radio to put out an appeal for him, it's worth asking, was he micro chiped? also ring all the dog kennels/homes you can find in the yellow pages, he may of been handed in, it's worth a try, also they will keep your details on file, incase he come's in after you have rang. also ring all the vets too that you can find, as again he maybe taken to one.Good luck, let me no how it goes.

I am a baby boomer who adores animals. My animal that holds a special place in my heart is dogs. They are by far the most affectionate, smart, expressive and caring animal and that includes human beings. My first dog was a bearded collie, my second dog was a wheaton terrier and my present pooch is a portuguese water dog. She is a real dog and I have spent more time with her because I have it and it shows. Because of my love for dogs I have just started a dog related business so I can be around them even more. { business info removed by skunkstripe } I get to spend most of my days with my dog Jazz and that makes me very happy. I am just so happy that finally I am in a business that gives me a reason for smiling all the time.

I am very interested in getting a Westie and have been emailing people and even visited someone's home. I would like to buy from a reputable breeder, not a broker, backyard breeder, or petstore. If anyone knows of any in the Long Island/New York area that please feel free to let me know!

Hehe, well I've always been a lover of the Cattle Dogs, and Vixen, Apache, and Liberty were all rescued from shelters. Sydney came from a great breeder in Washington, and we have hopes to train her for Rally Obedience when she matures a little more.
Jason ad always wanted a large dog, and I've always loved the gentle nature of the Danes, but Cabo lacks grace, and is more of a Bull in a China shop. Guinness was bounced from home to home before we got him at 5 months of age, he's got a wrap sheet of medical problems, and can sometimes be a turd with the other dogs, but all in all he's a good boy. Brady, well I don't know what drew us to him, but after we tragically lost our little Min Pin to cardiac complications, Jason wanted something to help take his mind off her loss, enter Brady, who keeps him on his toes 24/7!

Jester and I really like doing dogsports an we do a lot of agility training in the summers and in winthers we take a brake and do some brainwork. :)
Jester is 2 years old, born in the swiss mountains by a farmer working with his dogs on his sheep. Kerry was born in switzerland aswell, but his father was french, he's an acident puppy on a hollyday of may aunt so we know him since 13 years, right since his birth.

Sorry to hear about your Boxer and Pit. Doxies and Staffs are completely different, that is true. If you are having problems with your dog getting loose then a Doxie may be a better choice. Good luck to you.

Hi,
I'd like to introduce myself and my girls Simba the collie and Molly the Cocker Spaniel to the forum.
Molly is a rescue from a puppy farm, who was set to be disposed of as she is partially sighted. We got her from a rescue centre at four months old, and despite her cataracts and poor vision she is an active, typical crazy cocker who loves nothing more than running around like a lunatic (although she does occasionally crash into things!). She is now 5 years old and is one spoiled little miss! http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg86/melamaphine/s61306707_34004979_8510.jpg
I would also like to introduce Simba, she is nearly two years old and came from a show kennel a few months ago. She was untrained, unsocialised and very nervous of everything - she barely came out of the darkest corner of the house for weeks.
After four months of hard work, she has begun to trust her new 'pack' and is proving to be a lovely girl with a lot of love to give (and an obsession with cushions)http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg86/melamaphine/n61306707_34004807_2371-1.jpg
Anyway, hello to everyone on the forum from us! :)

Hello Melamaphine and BRTLover and
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q108/2dogmom_album/crittergraphics/whitedogwelcome.gif.
Melamaphine bless you for taking in Molly and Simba! I can relate to Simba's story, it sounds very much like what I went through with one of my dogs. Sophia (Red Dog in my avatar) had been a momma in a puppymill and had to learn at the age of 20 month show to be a pet.
BRTLover your Black Russian Terriers are gorgeous!
So glad you found us!

Thanks for the welcome Skunkstripe!
it's good to hear from others with similar dog war-stories. Sophia looks gorgeous and happy now with her new family!
i don't know how others have found rescue dogs but despite the hard work involved i wouldn't have it any other way. So many dogs in need of a good home and it breaks my heart to think of what puppy farms do to these poor creatures.
Simba and Molly both say hi to you and your lovely dogs!

Got my first official dog of my own just over two years ago. She is a Yellow Labrador and is called Honey (amongst other names!). She has recently been diagnosed with Arthritis although it doesnt seem to slow her down much! She loves swimming which is good cos its a fun form of non-taxing excercise for her. Thought i would join a dog message forum as I'd like to hear from other dog lovers and cos my husband is constantly on his car/motorbike forums so I thought I'd have a go! i want to post a pic of my pooch next to my messages and dunno how to. Hey! I just joined! I'm owned by a 9 year old Bichon/Shih Tzu x named Oliver. He is an awesome dog who loves attention. I also foster dogs for a group called Pawsitive Match Rescue (www.pawsitivematch.org (http://www.pawsitivematch.org)) and currently have a Doberman x puppy who is 4 months old. Her name is Maya and she came in on January 11. She is fear aggressive and shy with new people, but she is a total sweetheart to people she knows and is very smart. On December 22 we said goodbye to our 2nd foster, a 1-2 year old Schnoodle who is now in an awesome home. My first foster was with another rescue, she was a Terrier x who we had from December 13, 06-June 18, 07, she is loving life in her new home!
I look forward to getting to know you guys!

Hi there!
My name is Mark :D and my best friend is Shomie...
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j45/markvg/Shomie/Shomie_07_12_19-01.jpg
Shomie loves the snow here in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. Shomie will be 5 years old in June when she'll be able to jump in the lake (which she loves to do), but it is funny when she's pushing toys along the ice, which she is standing on in that picture.
Shomie is very smart. She is a great watch dog, always keeping an eye or ear out, but also loves to play with her dog friends. She hasn't met another dog that she doesn't want to play with! :D Cats are a different story. :laugher: She did grow up with Buddy the Cat who was the "king" of the house when Shomie arrived. It takes a bit of work, but Shomie ends up trying to play with cats which usually doesn't work out too well! :o
I have been trying to effort in helping the local SPCA in getting back on track here. They have been under fire with some stories that came out recently and, thank goodness, it is being addressed now. I've been in contact with the people trying to plan on how to get things right, and also there is a writer for the local newspaper that has been trying to get our story out to the public. I might post a link to a story from this writer every once in a while and if you just click on it, it helps so much. The more traffic to her stories she gets, the more the newspaper will let her keep writing stories on our efforts to get the SPCA to a place where the dogs brought in are adopted and people are educated (with her stories) on what people need to expect and do when they get a new dog, cat, or whatever. That is my mission right now.
Just wanted to share another picture of Shomie with Buddy the Cat (Little Buddy was his name). Little Buddy died from cancer a little while ago. :( Me and Shomie are ready to rescue a kitty or two from the shelter. This is going to shake up the house, but will be fun for us both! :laugher:
Greetings to you all!!!

We have 2 dogs, an Australian Shephard named Moree and a Lab/Pit/Hound (he can bay, though does it rarely) mix named Smokey. Both were adopted from shelters.
We know Moree is a pure bred because his former owners left all of his paperwork with the Humane Society. Silly people bought an Aussie puppy and then surrendered him at 9 months because he had too much energy in the evenings when they came home and let him out of his crate. (I say silly as a way of reamining polite.) He is very ball focused, and loves to bark. He climbs around the furniture like a mountain goat. Personality wise, he is very independent and would have been better served being an actual working dog instead of a house pet. Even at 8 years old, he could probably still go be a good herding dog, but I'm not willing to give up my baby. Despite his headstrong ways, he is a love who gives sweet little lamb kisses.
4900
Smokey was listed at the shelter at being a Collie/Pit mix, but there is not Collie what so ever in him. But he was also orginally listed as being 5 years old (on our first visit) but was revised down to 9 months by our second. Our vet nicely lists him as a Lab mix for licensing paperwork, which means we don't have to have him muzzled or caged when outside. He very much has the lab (and honestly, Pit) personality of being a total cuddlebug and lover. He is food and attention motivated. In his ideal world, all 65lbs of him would be lying in your lap, getting petted with one hand and fed with the other. He is now about 5 1/2 years old, and more than anything wants his own 8-10 year old child to play with. He'd happily play with younger kids, but he's a bit of an oaf, and would accidentally trample or knock one down.

I also have a 13 yr old cat called Joansie and they love each other. well, Honey loves the cat but the cat tolerates Honey most of the time. Apart from when Honey wants to give the cat a great big kiss! They do curl up together on our bed in the evenings before the dog at least is decamped to her bed on the floor! Too big and heavy on the bed all night!

Hello
I am LizzieB and I have four dogs. Jack Russell was a gift, Corgie, Poodle/Bichon, and Beagle are rescues. Beagle came into yard 3 weeks ago and was cornered by our 3 dogs. We picked her up and brought her in expecting owner to be in hot pursuit. We called shelter and advertised but no one has called about her so I guess she is ours. She's 7 months old and never been potty trained and we're having a real problem. If anyone has any advice it would be most welcome. She's getting spayed on Monday.

if you are having serious problems with a 7 month old dog, it might be too late to use the techniques that work on puppies. You may want to post a question with some more details in the training section so it will get seen better.

Hello! My name is Matt and yesterday I got my very first dog through a local rescue I've been volunteering for. I believe I am going to name her Dakota. She's approximately 8 years old and they tell me she is a Shepard / Lab mix! =)
I started poking around on this site earlier today! It appears to be a great collection of good people browsing these forums. Everyone has been super friendly and extremely helpful! I look forward to one day be the one dishing out the advice!

Hi I just joined tonight. I did join another site, but I wrote in all caps and
they did not like it. I can type faster, and see better if I do that. But instead of Dog advice I got told about it, and was told no advice would be given because I used all caps. So I thanked the few that gave me advice
and said I would be moving on: I hope I will be able to stay here. I won't write in caps, It just will take me longer to type replies. But I do not want to upset anyone here.
Well, I'm a first time owner of a "4yr old black lab". I found her in a shelter.
she was lost, picked up by the shelter. waited 14days for someone to claim
her, and to no avail she was placed for adoption an hour before I came into the shelter. I had never before in my life seen a shelter and did not know
what to do, or how to look. I went by myself and did not even tell my family
I was going. well it was Dec. 14th, 2007. I went in and all these dogs started barking very loud. but I looked down and in this kennel right next to me was this all black lab just stareing are me. I started talking to her, and
she got up and licked my hand. I than walked down the isle to look at the others, but came back to the black lab, and filled out the paperwork.
we picked her up on Dec 17th, so we call that her birthday. she was only
49lbs, and you could see her ribbs. she now weighs in at 68.4 lbs. but she
is a fuzzie eater. we have been over doing it, and she has been playing us
like a deck of cards. So we will have to get strong starting tomorrow. just
good dog food, eat it in 20min, or it goes away, go out and walk and work up the hunger, soon she will start eating her food. that is the advice that i had gotten so far, so that is what we will do. Other than that, she is house broken, she sits, she comes when called, she lays down, she allows
me to go out the door first, "i have to rmind her, but she takes her place behind me. We feel like we have found a diamond, so we call her "JEWEL".
I HOPE YOU WILL LIKE HER TOO!!

We are pretty proud:)being first time owners. We have a lot to learn,
the ride has been fun so far. Like the first day she was here my 30yr old
son was minding her. we did not want to leave her alone, and we did not get a crate until that night. So my son orders a pizza to be delivered, so he will not be leaving her. The pizza comes, Rick starts to eat it, and gave her
a piece of crust. than the phone rang in the bedroom, Rick went to get the
phone, and when he returned, the box was on the floor, 4 pieces gone, and the fifth one the cheese was missing. He thought she was going to die. He got on "my space" asking all these people will pizza kill a dog, than he called me. I told him know. just choc/dairy is bad for them. I said she might get
sick, but that will pass. Well she never got sick, she just was deprived food for a long time. due to the fact you could see her ribs when i first got her.
Anyway, I came home and said to the Jewel.... you keep this up , your days might be numbered. Just than my 30 yr old came down the hall with tears in his eyes, MOM, if you are going to give her away, do it now, because we bonded today, and it will be very hard for me, if she goes. I said rick it is
o.k, She is a dog, when food is left out, she thinks anyone can have it.
so we have to be more thoughtful on where we leave food.
by the way your "german shepard" is beautuful. It is a "german shepard"?
I could be wrong.
thanks again

Yes, Shomie is a German Shepherd and will be 5 years old in June.
Your story is so cute. I think you will be able to get lots of good info from this site. Shomie learned, just like I am sure Jewel will learn, about the food. It sure sounds like you got a loving family there. Rick sounds like a good person who cares for Jewel and that is important. Don't tell Jewel "her days are numbered".
I am sure the people here can answer any issues you have. Keep the love up with Jewel!!

Hi Matt and biddie and http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q108/2dogmom_album/crittergraphics/welcomepawprints.gif
Biddie if you have trouble seeing you can also change the size of the type in your post. Some of us don't have good eyesight and you can make it bigger if it helps. That was a great story about how JEWEL picked you. Funny, my dog Zircon picked me the same way and I think he is a gem too. :) Can't blame her for eating out of a box on the floor, she probably thinks your home is heaven. Bless you for being her angel.

Thanks so much for such a nice Welcome. How did you get Shomie? We have a German Shepard behind us named Shadow, and a yellow Lab named Ginger. Shadow barks at her. I think it is because Ginger and Jewel are girlfriends. However, if we are out walking with their owner, Shadow is very quiet. Its like the street belongs to no-one!!
Thanks again for such a warm welcome. I'm sure I will get good info: here.
My daughter is a nurse, she lives in her own condo, with Rhoadie, she is a
Ridgeback mix. I learn alot from her as well. But I do have a son Sean 16yr
and he walks Jewel everyday after school. Not to worry, Jewel will be going nowhere:D

Thank you for such a nice welcome, and a good idea. Now am I responding right. I keep looking for the word RESPOND but
all I see is REP , QUOTE, So what do i click on to answer a post. I tried the Rep one, and I see that is where you say if you liked the post. But I thought you get a whole blank sheet to write a reply, but it seems to be under what you wrote. Is this the right way?
Also, I wanted to say that your dogs look lovely. a Lab, and a Golden I think.
You will have to tell me your story when you have time. and what both their
names are, and you also have a kitty. I have allergy to both, Cat and Dog,
but with my Daughters dog, Rhoadie Ridgeback mix. I have grown use to it.
However, we don't let Jewel in any bedrooms. My son Sean and I both have
asthma.
Have a great day! Thanks again for the kind welcome.

Matt I have my very first dog as of Dec 14th 2007 I picked her out, or I should say she picked me. We had talked about it back and fourth as we were getting close with my Daughters Ridgeback mix. But on Dec 14th I just
let work got into my car, and drove to a shelter a few blocks away. I never told my husband or my kids. I had never been in a shelter in my whole life.
I did not know what to do. The girl in the front told me where the kennels were and told me to help myself. Well, it was kind of scarey, because they all want atten:. and the barking. But the only one that was not barking
was "Jewel". She looked at me, and said with her eyes "can you take me away from all this". I wanted a female, and I wanted a dog that was 4yr
or more. I'm 54yr, and I did not think I had the energy for a puppy. So I filled out the paperwork, I took her for a walk , she let me hug and kiss her,
and that was it. pure love, and thankfulness. We feel we found a diamond
so we call her JEWEL.
Good Luck to you and you beautiful dog. Love her ears.........
Bridget.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE PICTURES OF THEM ALL. I'm a new dog owner, and mine was already trained, but alot of people said the bell on the door works well. Where you take her to the bell and ring it before taking her out to go.
than after awhile, she rings it and lets you know she has to go.
let me know when you have some pictures up. My sister has two bichons,
named Honey & Hope
Take care

Hello all, i am from Georgia and my house is always full of dogs. I have 5 Shih Tzu at the moment, but pet-sit, breed and run rescue, so the numbers change from time to time. My babies range in color and age. I have been involved with my share of forums and after finding very little education and very little compassion in the last one, I am hoping to find everyone of you a bit more understanding and I look forward to the discussions.

Hi all, I'm a new member just joined this morning! I'm the proud owner of Murphy a 9 & a 1/2 yr old black lab (who thinks hes still 2!) and Meg a 9 yr old Blk lab and last but not least Rhea a 2 & a1/2 yr old 'sprocker' spaniel. I'm actually looking for a boyfriend for Rhea as I would love her to have a litter preferably another sprocker boyfriend, if anyone can help please get in touch? Shes not a working bitch just a family pet but she has the potential to be a great worker and I'm positive she would pass her traits down the line no problem! Shes full of life but not mental, shes the most loving and affectionate dog I know (and i'm not just saying that!) shes a real looker too, she looks like a petite liver and white springer, about the size of a cocker. Would love to hear from any other sprocker owners whether you can help me or not! I live in the Lowestoft area of Suffolk right by the sea, looking forward to hearing from you all.....Claire.:)

Hello There All
Not sure i have posted the dogs picture correctly but here goes!
This is my first attempt on a dog forum and have joined to gain help and advice on dealing with my two beagles. Bernard and Francis (Frankie for short). I also have a Llasa Apso who is an old boy now - going on 13 years old. He is a gem of a boy. (Will post a pic of him at a later date)
I am also joining to chat about how to get the better of my dogs instead of them getting the better of me!
My life seems to revolve around the dogs and i would like to gain some 'me' time back again if possible ....... IS that possible or am I kidding myself????
As you can see they are lovely dogs but I seem to have allowed them to overtake my life. :sneaky:
Looking forward to hearing from any other 'over run' doggie owners, ESPECIALLY beagle owners.
Very kind regards
Minxy66

Hello I'm Deborah.
I have a 10yr old x-breed rescue dog and a 1yr old Dogue de Bordeaux. Hoping to get a Leonberger puppy soon, just waiting on the scan results - fingers crossed. Big hello to everyone!!
How do i post a new topic?, i'd like to start a discussion on a controversial subject. I am a member of a breed specific world-wide forum and i seem to be the only one who holds a particular view on something. I'm looking for some back-up really. It's appears to be me against the world at the moment...lol

:DHiya Minxy, Bernard and Frankie look like butter wouldnt melt!! Mind you they are asleep! Whats the problem with them? I have 3 dogs too and really the only problem with mine is that the minute I get my 'dog-walking-gear' on,(like old jeans, cap, coat, or heaven forbid THE WELIES) they all go crazy. Yes they do love a walk, i dont know any dogs that dont but its like an obsession now, as if they think that the crazier they behave the quicker we will get out of the door!!! Wish I knew the answer! My life certainly doesnt revolve around my dogs but they are definately a big part of it which I am solely responsible for. So how have your trio taken over your life and what is the problem? Im no dog whisperer but have 10 years of dog ownership under my belt so if i can help i will!!! Kindest regards Claire.:D

Ruby is a Japanese Spitz x Pomerianian and she is going to be TWO years old in May. My baby is growing up! (sob).
She loves to play with her favourite toys (mint flavoured tug rope, Kong, Burgular - which she stripped off all the clothes, the little perv-) and her little sister, Mia, who we adopted after she was rescued from a rough start to life.

From the picture, I am sure you can tell who comes off second best!
Ruby and I love to play ball, go for walks and cuddle. Her favourite TV show is Scrubs. Don't ask me why, but she is extra affectionate whenever we watch the show!
Looking forward to getting to know you all!!
